I'm a big NBA fan (wondering if anyone else here is, too). I saw there was an NBA thread from like 7 years ago, but I decided to do one with more current players.

West (Current):
LeBron James: ESFJ 8w9 > 3w4 > 6w7 so/sx
Anthony Davis: ISFP 6w7 > 9w8 > 3w4 sp/so
Kawhi Leonard: ISTJ 5w6 > 9w1 > 3w4 sp/so
Paul George: ISFJ 6w5 > 3w4 > 9w1 sp/so
Damian Lillard: ISTP 9w8 > 3w4 > 5w6 sp/sx
Donovan Mitchell: ESFJ 6w7 > 2w3 > 9w8 so/sx
Chris Paul: ENTJ 8w7 > 3w2 > 6w5 so/sp
Luka Doncic: INFP 9w1 > 6w7 > 2w1 so/sx
Ja Morant: ESTP 3w2 > 9w8 > 6w7 sx/so
James Harden: ISTP 6w7 > 3w4 > 9w8 sp/sx
Russell Westbrook: ESFP 8w7 > 4w3 > 7w6 sx/sp (don't let his media interactions fool you)
Steph Curry: ISFJ 9w1 > 3w2 > 6w5 sp/so
Klay Thompson: ISTP 6w7 > 9w8 > 3w4 so/sx
Draymond Green: ESTP 8w7 > 7w8 > 3w2 so/sx

East (Current):
Kyrie Irving: ISFP 4w3 > 6w7 > 9w8 so/sp
Kevin Durant (feels weird him not being in the West): ISFP 3w4 > 9w8 > 6w7 sp/sx
Joel Embiid: ESTP 7w8 > 3w4 > 9w8 so/sx
Kyle Lowry: ESTP 7w8 > 3w2 > 8w7 so/sp
Kemba Walker: ENFJ 9w1 > 3w2 > 7w6 ??/??
Trae Young: ESFJ 2w3 > 6w7 > 9w8 sp/so
Jimmy Butler: ESTJ 8w7 > 3w2 > 7w6 sx/so
Giannis Antetokounmpo: ISFP 9w8 > 6w7 > 3w2 so/sx

I might add some historic players to this thread later. Lot of this is based on postgame interviews, general hearsay about their off-the-court personas, and their approach to the game on-court. Definitely not perfect and a lot of it is conjecture, but it's at start imo.

Eh, it's a stereotype. Definitely a good number of STP types in the NBA, but there's way more variety than that.

All I know is People see Jordan as ISTP now after the initial ENFJ way back then. And isn't Lebron ISFJ? ISFJs are pretty extroverted and everyone online said he was ISFJ and it felt right but idk, just keeping the option open. Everyone universally agrees from what I saw that Kobe was an INTJ and Ni dom and Te, NT user. How come you think ISTP?

Nvm a lot of people type Lebron ESFJ and Fe dom now, I feel making a thread on it now on the reddit and settling this debate. Why do you think he's ESFJ and Fe dom?

I just realized I didn't answer your last post, my bad! He processes things primarily through the human dynamics around him, i.e. Fe. LeBron can definitely come off as a Te user (which is why I gave him ESTJ at first), but that's because of his gruff voice imo, haha. Even though he's usually criticized for being selfish, he's an Fe dom because everything in the way he talks about is about the community, the team, etc. You see this with him on and off the court, whether it's a postgame presser or his social activism and philanthropy. Sure, he talks about his own personal experiences a lot ("growing up in Akron as the son of a single mom"), but he always connects it to changing his wider community, namely northeast Ohio and low-income black youths in America as a whole.

As for Kobe, he's probably typed as an INTJ because of his 3w4 personality bringing about typical "schemer" and "strategist" tropes. True, he was a good floor general much later in his career (around his 2009 and 2010 championships), but if you hear his interviews, the biggest theme was always perfecting his own individual craft; that seems more Ti to me. His floor general ability was the product of a lot of coaching by Phil Jackson (an INFJ imo) and learning to trust more in his teammates (inferior Fe).

I see that makes sense for Lebron, ESFJ is probably right but someone said he said he was introverted as a kid so idk but ESFJ prob is the right typing for him. And for Kobe I honestly feel from what I've heard of him and seen that INTJ is probably the right typing for him, INTJs are also analytical and can perfect their own craft too, everyone describing him gave me a Ni and Te vibe from him, but thats just what I think. I would have to research even more to make sure, but INTJ feels right to me and my Ni haha lol. But thanks for your opinon though.
