    This is such a typical political move that I'm actually surprised that people are outraged by it. This is how the system works. You sell -- and adapt* -- legislation however you can, to get it to pass.

    How is this a scandal? Obfuscation is one of the most basic tools used in politics, by both parties, and because the American voter is either gullible or fanatic, i.e. stupid, it will continue to be.

    It's a scandal because they very well might have obfuscated themselves out of workable system if SCOTUS actually holds them to their word... unlike the last time.
