I am a not patriotic by any means. And ethnically I'm from two countries that differ from my nationality. I suppose from my origins my ancestors had among the richest civilisations.

I can say whatever I want about whatever I want to whoever I want. I could even write it down and hand out pamphlets that say whatever I want about whatever I want. I like this.

We have some odd festivals too.

Probably the most famous of them is "The Great Jaffa Race". Tagged balls of chocolate called Jaffas are raced down the world's steepest street (in Dunedin, NZ).

I shoot targets. Get over it and clutch your pearls somewhere else.

There's wife carrying, boot/cell phone throwing, swamp football, sitting in an ant hill, sitting in sauna... Might explain why Finns have the most gold medals per capita in olympics.

    • Health services - I just went to a dentist (twice) and it was 30€ (~$40) per visit. And we are now visting nurse/doctor once a month with my pregnant wife to routine check-ups. Free-of-charge. And we'll soon receive almost 12 months of paid leave from work.
This just makes me want to visit there even more! And of course remind me of my pipe-dream to live in scandanavia in the not so distant future.

Actually, dentists and veterinarians are insanely expensive over here in Norway. And neither is covered by the social security system. I go back to belgium for my dentist and aint the only norwegian who visits him

The rest is mostly covered though and the system is well set up
Having kids here apparently is amazing with all the perks both mom and dad get.
