Per the US Supreme court, in a ruling announced this morning (Thursday, 6/26/08), the Second Amemdment of the US Constitution upholds an individual right to bear arms, and the DC handgun ban is unconstitutional. Scalia wrote the decision for the majority.

Nice to see the Supreme Court can read. LOL Anyway, they've been on a roll recently: Gitmo prisoners have a right to challenge their detention, there are unfair punitive damages in lawsuits, and now we have a right to bear arms. Maybe we can get them to revisit Kelo while they are in such a Constitution-friendly mood.
