Was good to see that Obama wasnt worried about those assholes sending him Ricin or the republican rabble trying to derail his legislation and that he was able to fly right out to share in Boston's troubles, a little bit different from the get the hell out of dodge routine that Bush et al were good at.

Fearmongers will, inevitably, milk this event for all it's worth as a wedge to drive us further apart. Recall the tears you shed every other weekend dozens of victims are arbitrarily reduced to ant food overseas. We're probably more intelligent than given the opportunity to demonstrate, but the media has trained us from birth to react one of two ways to anything (in itself healthy, but you know where I'm going), reducing many to monkeys jumping through typology threads.

As a side, I think marathons kind of fall into that soon-to-be-antiquicized column (romanticized parading), along with human-piloted vehicles, unsafe sex, etc.
One of the greatest speak for yourself moments in history is born.

The media did very little training of me.

    ???

Bush was at ground zero by the third day after the attack... same as Obama.

    Agreed.

Good luck finding the perpetrators based on the pics alone--there is nothing specific about them.

Yeah, those clips or pics were awful, I've seen better footage lifted from mobile phones on youtube.

Those guys could be all kinds of saps too or simply paid off to pick up and drop of a bag with instructions not to look in the bag and risk culpability, I can think of a dozen other ways any real villain could make detection difficult and I bet that it is.
