All for ourselves, and nothing for other people, seems, in every age of the world, to have been the vile maxim of the masters of mankind.

What if, someone consumed a significant amount of alcohol while sitting in front of the fire? I imagine if a spark happened to cause a flame, the internal state of the individual could effect the intensity of the destruction?

Like they said, just because they couldn't find a source doesn't mean their isn't one. Basically it only means, there was an internal acceleration.

I think the person would be dead of alcohol poisoning long before their bodily fluids reach an ethanol concentration high enough to ignite.
Don't make whine out of sour grapes.
