If you've studied Trotsky you no doubt are aware of his use of the Red Army to murder innocent people. Unless, as is the case with many supporters of brutish thugs, you see past it to his more redeeming qualities.

As for being in the left opposition he went there to lead and then left others to take the punishment as he was exiled. He is as much responsible for Stalin as any person of the former core group.

The elderly gentleman said Trotsky had his followers hoodwinked, that they didn't realize he failed to believe much of what he wrote and was the intellectual version of JS.

No doubt, as you've combed through the archives, you've seen this material.

Libertarianism. Because it makes sense, and it's still small, so the party hasn't really been corrupted with Type A personalities yet.

Unregistered and would be illegal if I did. One of the perks of having a green card? If I had to chose, I would probably vote for this guy.

If I were to actually be the one making decisions I'd probably end up doing sort of a liberal/libertarian mix. (For a lot of policies where liberal and liberatrian views are different I see the answer as being somewhere in the middle, and the devil being very much in the details, so the actual laws and programs produced would be odd combinations of stuff. For things that liberals and libertarians agree on, I also agree.)

You do realize none of this is substantiated? Killing innocent people, abandoned his comrades, failed to believe what he wrote, intellectual version of Stalin? None of what you say has any backing, and I'm not surprised. When you produce some 'proof', I'll be glad to talk. Otherwise it just sounds like the most vulgar of anti-communist propaganda. Funny enough, it probably isn't even your intention.

See Robert Service's Stalin; A Biography.

Also see the same Author; Lenin

See the released Russian Archives for The Purge led by Trotsky and Bukharin.

The Red Terror in Russia by Sergei Melgunov

See various copies of the History of the Red Army, it's leaders and missions from formation, war against the white army and execution of peasants and others.

You would also benefit from a visit to Russia and undertaking some research at any of the several excellent university archives.

Simply reading Trotsky or his followers is not an objective view.

I associate myself with "Freedom." I don't think I've seen that party anywhere though.
