I'm still the only one anywhere on the right. I guess that goes to show what a maniac I am. :D :wizfreak:
Just imagine how much to the right you really must be if it is really is skewed to the left!! You really must be one of those horrible maniacs who want to go back to pre-civil war America!!!:wink:

More like most sane. Sane people are in the middle. :p but it appears most people are mad here.

This two axis map is like the world map.

You are getting impression that horizontal points at -9 and +9 lines are far part but they are not. Since absolute authoritarianism and libertarianism eat away all the "substance". However in both areas you can quickly freeze to death.

Plus in this test I would add third axis: Progressive vs. regressive

I am kinda missing this and for me people in this test can be very near one and another and still have a completely different flavor due to this factor. That in my opinion is missing.

Therefore there are some serious problems with this test.

Yeah, I rather knew that when I was posting it, and seeing the results coming in pretty much confirms that. It does offer a bit of a relative positioning amongst everyone here, but without a meaningful reference point it's not terribly informative, and its very likely the grid itself isn't linear and would be better described as some large polynomial. That and the questions are just so dated at this point and lacking of modern context that it doesn't offer too much clarity.

I'll see of I can dig up a better test and make a new thread for that shortly.

You don't have to, it is just that I like to take everything apart down to the last flaw.

Virtual ghost that took way more effort than I thought it would LOL.
-----------------------------------

I updated the OP of the thread to include two more tests that are a bit better in quality. Please go re-read for info.

Additional characteristics

Pragmatism : politics objectively boil down to looking at where the problems are and trying to solve them according to the means available.

But as I said for me all these test have a certain problem in them.
Which is that if you don't agree with stereotypical or HC Capitalism stuff they automatically start to push you into some kind of socialism/Communism thing. I posted my second score, which was made exactly because I didn't agree that I am that "red". I care more about getting the things done, not that much how it is done. However if you start any alternatives to market the American tests will automatically start to push you towards far left stuff. Actually I find it kinda ironic that people that freak out for years over the whole Trump Russia "scandal" test as some kind of HC socialists. For me this is simply the math that doesn't really add up, there has to be some kind of a mistake in this. Which is probably in how strict American definition of Capitalism is. Regulated capitalism is rarely something that you can found in American "space" but it is valid and stable concept.

By some of these scores here almost everything or everything should be nationalized and at least some of their previous owners killed. However I really don't picture the posters in that light. I understand "I don't want to be a Capitalist" argument which I actually see more like "I don't want to live like this". However in US Communism is generally just a fun thing to think about, since there is basically no real communism or communists in the whole system. In real Communism there is no going to church, there is no consumerist shopping, not gay marriage, no public joking about local politicians etc. My ex far left government at one point made it ok to rape nuns, something for what I don't think that most of the forum would have a stomach (even if it just on the "matter of principle" basis). Simply way too mild stuff pass as far left in these tests.

I don't know, for me all of this is kinda "just for lolz" or "trick and treating".

Complotism : the biggest problems of our society are the work of a small group of people. It is then essential to find them, inform the people of their objective and neutralize them.
