I watched some statements and concluded that in the end all of this will probably be pretty simple. In other words as long as the blue duo can stay calm, reasonable and factual they will stick out of this entire mess, and therefore they will almost surely win. After all this is exactly why and how my right managed to grab unexpected big win (while the left was all over the place). The right simply managed to realize that in the end this is basically one issue election: COVID and it's aftermath. Similar as elections in UK last year, the only real topic on the table was Brexit. Which is evidently multi-dimensional topic that clouded everything and even it's immediate aftermath will last for quite some time. Therefore just be calm, concrete and somewhat charismatic, since that always works in a crisis. Because most people simply don't have the time for smears, twitter, the wall, pseudo science, birth certificates ... etc. They objectively simply don't have the time for this stuff, especially since the winter is coming.

I agree with this, if they can simply stay united and calm they will win. Everyone is tired of chaos , the majority of people would like some form of normalcy restored. I think Trump is going to pull every Gimic available to him and I am not quite sure how they will stop him from rigging the election. He's already targeting mail in votes ..

Yes, as long as they can skip "the mud wrestling" they should be ok. Since the more people vote the harder it is to rig the game in any way. What is hard to do if you go low and don't talk about things in which people are really interested. Therefore they should be as calm and concrete as possible.

I don't get the problem with counting mail votes on time. Just make a rule that they have to be turned in by 20th October and they will be counted by the election day. Or if it is really that bad locally just hire more people, there is more then enough of unemployed.

Are the Bernie bros excited about Kamala Harris? I'm guessing no, but will this pick provide Biden the votes needed in the all important swing states or will it just disgust the socialist base, suppress turnout and sour the already nonexistent enthusiasm for the senile basement-campaign critter?

My thoughts: Kamala Harris is a phoney politician who ruins lives to get ahead. She put non-violent drug offenders (potheads) away when she didn't have to in order to build up her reputation as a tough prosecutor. I think we're going to be seeing some Tulsi "gun-grabber" Gabbard ads of her taking out Kamala in the debates. Harris has a glass jaw and that one hit from Gabbard sent her into a nosedive into irrelevancy, but now she's back because the Dems can't find enough non-white females who aren't totally nuts. :D

Whatever happened to: best candidate gets the job? Biden should've just picked Bernie or Pocahontas, imo.

What can be expected from both conventions ?
The candidates will become formal ... but what else ? Platform details should be defined ?

New polls are coming in

CNN gives Biden only +4 for the country as a whole. (while ABC is at +10)

Plus Trump got +7 in Texas. I mean just as I said investing some serious money there will be a waste. If you really must go down there at least invest into congress races, since in that sphere you might be able achieve something. Because there are some vulnerable seats down there. But I have impression that the ego might be too strong to give up.

I wouldn't be dumping money on Texas. It would be a real shocker if it turned blue. It's a waste of money and resources. I'd instead focus on the Midwest, Southwest and the former red states that flipped for Obama in 2008.

I really don't understand how anyone can even support Trump...he's not a politician, he's completely unprofessional...he's just a 10 year old kid with a stage....
