Animals do not understand these concepts, and this is kinda like projecting your political viewpoints on beings that do not understand such concepts. If the baby penguin was a human, I would consider it child abuse. Its already scientifically proven that most people are cis, even in non-gendered upbringing. Most likely due to things like evolution and instinct. And if upbringing is as influential as they say it is, in establishing a solid identity. I am pretty sure people are fucking over their kids, by allowing them to grow up as binary outcasts that don't fit in unless they surround themselves with other non-binaries. Society cannot function with extreme diversity, because one size doesn't fit all. It eventually becomes impossible to enact anything that can address a lot of people's issues. Which is why simplicity is better in terms of social constructs.

I myself am a "gender outcast" and know full well the problems I face everyday. But at the same time, Im not trying to make the world bend to me. I adjust to the world, because I am not entitled.
What if natural processes are orders of magnitude more powerful than social constructs? Humans often try to control nature and impose theories and intentions on it - sometimes with success and sometimes with abysmal failures. Maybe taking a cue from nature is wise instead of imposing theories onto it to control it. Theories and assumptions created top-down to control groups might be a bad idea and instead, viewing whatever is a natural process, allowing it to be and creating structures from the bottom up might actually bring more peace to society. It's like directing a river or building dams - one releases tensions and the other builds it up.

Many penguin species evidence same sex couples. So do many other animals. It's a non-issue and should be a non-issue in all animals, including humans.

I wonder how it persists given natural selection and what we know about evolutionary science, dont you?

It would appear to be anomalous, wouldnt you say? What benefit or advantage would aiming/hoping/wishing that it was instead normative really involve?

Just asking, humans can do that, it kind of sets humans apart from the beasts. Or other beasts. Depending on your perspective.

Natural selection has no purpose.

Humans do a lot of stupid stuff but it doesn't make the stupid stuff accurate.

What is a natural process and what is a social construct? I do believe in natural processes trumping social constructs, very much so, although I dont necessarily believe that the rest of your argument follows from your/that premise.

Instead of supposing that hierarchy or federation are natural I'd say that both reflect culture, and not a little artifice too, spontaneous order is way, way more basic than either and not preferable to either in reality.

So far as controlling nature or imposing theories upon it, I tend to find that romantic primitivism has its appeal until people have spent long enough without electricity or modern plumbing but that's just me, I'm not intending this to seem snarky either, its a genuine observation.

To a point I agree with natural law, especially how Stoics have considered or contemplated it, although nature definitely is not what a lot of people make it out to be. Seeking examples of behaviour among beasts of the wild and using them as a vindication for human norms or mores is a terribly bad idea when you properly consider it, animals eat their young, resolve generational conflict with murder etc.

There's redeeming features too, as perceived and interpreted by human observers again, but I think I've made the point.

Oh, ok, well then, plenty to think about in that then.

Mind how you go.

So do people. We just call it different things. It sucks. But regrettably true. Most of the people who do it, dont bother to seek it out from the animal kingdom either. They have perfectly human reasons for it. Still sucks.

Humans are forever trying to figure out the reasons for why things out of their control, occur. They often ascribe intent or purpose where there isn't any. I suspect it has to do with insecurity where humans are one of the most fearful and insecure species of animals on this planet. Considering how humans lack any natural defenses or weapons, it's unsurprising why the insecurity.

Mind how you go.
What does this mean?

Around 500 species of fish undergo organic sex changes so why the human fixation on gender and gender appropriate behaviors, never made sense to me.

Do animals have gender identities?

I distinctly recall an infographic popping up on my cat’s veterinarian’s desktop pc screensaver, reassuring pet owners that animals do not possess the human psychological concept of gender identity, so neutering was perfectly safe, in this regard.

Despite this reassurance from medical professionals, some folks still believe otherwise:

The real question is probably whether or not the penguins in question are globalists with a secret/not secret socialist agenda for the USA. ;)

The real question is whether or not the penguins have an alliance with the puffins.

Let me be clear. This is not an issue. It's a current event.
Of all the current events ongoing right now, what recommended this one for posting over all the others? What made it of special interest to you?

Scientifically, what in your opinion has a purpose?

Don't be jealous.

Nothing recommended it. I just like animals. Why do you suppose CNN wrote a story about it?

You wish.

Nice pathetic stab at my type though, you sad sack of shit.

What provokes you to become what your boyfriend wishes you to be?
Certainly not confidence.

I'm not sad. And you leave my boyfriend out of this. Take your negativity elsewhere.
