so
Whoever said that we are equal is lying. We are not equal,if we were we would be able to handle the same things. People are different. There are rules that apply to everyone. People have different attitudes and ways of thinking or living. We cannot handle the same things. Some people are meant to be middle class, poor, or rich. People handle situations differently. In order to make it is hard work, make the most of what we have at our disposal, then ask yourself this question, can you handle the dangers that come with it ? If we were to look through the shoes of celebrities, writers, people who make a lot of money a lot of us would probably do some of the similar things as they did. Everyone have different talents, some are artistic, some are musically gifted and some are excellent strategist and some are great fighters or a mix of both

So equality means sameness?

There is no such thing as different but equal?

If "some people are meant to be middle class, poor or rich" what determines inclusion in this natural aristocracy? Talent? Would that not be a meritocracy rather than aristocracy? Without equality, at least in terms of opportunity and before the law, how could people exercise their differing talents for differing rewards?

If you accept that there should be differing rewards for differing talents, are there any limits to permissible poverty? Or should it be a complete matter of a race in which "devil take the hind most" is the rule? Why? For if you accept that people have differing talents, including being totally talentless, and deserving of different rewards or consequences would applying this single rule to all differing persons not be applying the same, single rule and therefore qualify as the "equality" you were raging against?

Plus this is, broadly speaking, the second or third thread I've seen about equality, what's the craic, is it coming up a lot in US civics classes and people are scarring the internet for answers or to vent contrary opinions to those their teachers have discussed in class but havent been able to convince anyone of? Or is it just the prelude in alt right propaganda to be followed up with oh, BTW, you're special and superior to everyone anyway, so why would you want to be kept down by the man with is equality stuff?

I know the opening chapter of the Turner diaries does little else but rail against equality and its enforcement by police who're trying to enforce gun ownership laws too, that's a lot of bullshit I'll just say right at the outset. You want to read about a world which has had fascism for a couple of hundred years and how much of a drag that would be read a decent novel like Swastika Night not that billy bob red neck BS.

Its also a very conformist thing to do, argue against equality, its a very old, very conformist message and I'm surprised it plays so well with young people, maybe they'll be all forming up to sing the faith of our fathers hymns about the rich man in his castle and the poor man at the gate, the lord God gave them rank and ordered their estate.

Of course there is. Equality is not identity.

Equality also requires some frame of reference or yardstick for measuring. Equality under the law? Moral equality? Equality in the eyes of God? Equality in a specific skill or talent? Equality in size or weight?

Consider an average family. Parents usually try to love and care for all their children equally, but the needs of the baby are obviously quite different from those of the kindergartener.
