Those pictures took a long time so someone probably had their hand there and then moved it.

I was alone in a mall bathroom once, and was washing my hands, when i looked up at the mirror, there was an old person's hand, just like that, trying to touch my left shoulder. There was no one behind me, and I slinked from it and bolted like there was no tomorrow.

I chalk it up to exhaustion because it was exam week and my brain was playing tricks on me.

Possibly. I'm not familiar with primitive photography. If I'm not mistaken, the longer the shutter stays open in modern cameras, the blurrier the image appears. Not sure if that corresponds to earlier forms of photography. How would the picture appear so crisp with a clearly defined phantom hand without the rest of the body?
