I've got to say that I'm one of those people who has a definite tendency to live as though there's lots of time, like I'm living a life of eternal youth, I'm in my mid thirties and probably should be thinking more like there's term limits on most of my goals.

So I was wondering if I'm the only one or if everyone else is the same, does anyone seriously go to uni with a serious five year or ten year plan? What sort of people are they? I've only known one guy for definite who is like that and he is from a pretty highly religious/neo liberal background, in addition to the carpe diem there's a definite momento mori sentiment too.

I've also seen those two things represented together recently and thought, that's cool those actually do belong together, its been a transformative thought process for me too, has anyone else experienced the same?
