so what are somethings you can't seem to grasp/solve no matter how much you think about them?

for me it's nothing and god. What is nothing? because the word nothing is still something so is darkness and how did it all begin? and was their every nothing because their is always something their is the ground the trees, the earth, universe, everything had to come into existence somehow. I mean how do you create something out of absolutely nothing? Let's assume God exists who/what created him? This is one of those things that has bugged me since I was about 11 or 12.

so what are your hangups with the universe?

Shortbread cookies. I think they taste ok, but everytime I eat one I simply want another, and then another, and then another.... I always want more, and yet there are many things which I think taste better.

Humans and by extension all intelligent life forms out there in the universe weird me out.

For 13.5 billion years the stars, planets and galaxies are all swirling about and it's all very graceful, majestic and sublime. The sun and the earth form, its continental plates slowly floating about colliding and separating, it's all still very majestic.

Then life evolves. WTF is up with that? Now we've got nuclear bombs and furry porn and religion and people trying to get into the Guinness book of world records. It's all very odd.

People seem to think that when we meet the aliens they'll be these graceful, enlightened, intellectual beings without animal impulses. But that's bullshit, I just know out there on some planet with space ships, fusion reactors and holodecks is a guy watching an aerobics video with his dick inside a hollowed out microwaved pineapple.

roads and train tracks boggle me.
It's not that they are roads and train tracks, its just odd to think about how long it takes to actually build a road, and i like to think about what used to be in an area before a road went through it. There are thousands and thousands of miles of roads and train tracks, and that just boggles my mind .

I don't see how people can be so shallow..a lot of people get together merely through sex-appeal..it's mind boggling. I have to look deep into another to really see what kind of a person they are. Past superficiality, into the vast sea of soul that lies deep in another's heart where, locked away are a persons most beautiful aspects, better then anything imaginable to the superficial eye, infinite beauty, compared to temporary beauty. Love transcends anything of the everything, and hardly anyone can see it. But I can, I have explored the deepest parts of the human soul, into infinite love where all of the answers lie. An iceberg-like concept, magnified- what is seen above the surface is nothing in comparison to what is beneath the surface, a face something that most people merely skim the surface of. Anyways, I'm rambling on, but it truly is something that has always bothered me, and that I have always wondered about..

Women giving birth. It's just stunning that the female body can do that. I still have trouble believing I was built to do that by nature.

Well, some were not so well built for it. But I know what you mean . . . I can't imagine pushing something on the order of a small watermelon out of my girlbits. :D That is scary sheeit. C-Section it must be, if any birth at all.

Yes, it is very strange if this is what it is supposed to evolve to. Or if the most probable form of universe and life is really THIS! It's very odd.

My mind doesn't boggle so much anymore. I guess I've accepted it to be waste of time thinking if there is any meaning or such... I just create my own meaning for my life. Sometimes I wonder if there is any chance for human to beat the odds and come out of this world as a winner, stop consuming and pollution and save the world for a next 1000000 years... but I still haven't found that answer.

It's really nice, but that doesn't contribute towards my comprehension of it.

That is scary - luckily, I have large hips. So if push comes to shove - and it just might in that case - I'm prepared.

Kukuro and Sudoku. I hate them with the power of a thousand blazing suns because they taunt me with their incomprehensibility.

Hmmm, gotta admit that I have never really given them a serious try. I should!!!! But if you can't stand them, they would probably drive me to .

Love boggles my mind, too....but in a great, oh-so-lovely way. :wubbie:

And I am thankful every day that I have been able to experience it and continue to do so!

Oh yes! Prepare for the tears! lol I don't know what possessed me to bother with puzzles that required algorithms, but I couldn't help myself. Only to have them completely defeat me.

The thing that boggles my mind is that people don't stop and realize how amazing all the small things in life are. If they did we'd be much happier and peaceful and willing to work together. Stop and really and truly listen to a child giggling or watch a dog sleeping or the ocean waves or snow falling. It's all so amazing and humbling.

I totally agree. When I used to saddle up my horse and go riding, it was wonderful to be out in the quiet, and by moving so slowly, I could see all of the beautiful little flowers that bloomed by the side of the road. I would never have known they were there otherwise.
