Did you know God's Law actually says tithing is for YOU to enjoy--to eat and be full as much as your heart desires--once per year, out of your gain in that year, in a holy place of God, so that you may fear God? Except in the third year, when you should give the leftovers to the Priest and others.

Offerings are things you give to the Priest, not tithes. And those should be given often, even daily.

So the next time the church coffer comes round, make an offering out of the gladness of your heart for God and His people. Not because of some mistaken doctrine that says you have to give 10% of your income to the church, but because you love God and His people.
