What about world-peace and such? Do you think we would and could possibly get along once a majority of us comes to grips with any particular paradigm, if only a vague paradigm of open mindedness, or do you think we can and will get along, once we extract the essential qualities of all thinkable paradigms, and succeed in determining their optimal priorities, thus combining them in a single structure, that allows to automatically facilitate, shape and capture most of anyone's contributions to the world, as these are spontaneously originating from whatever anyone's mindset may be at any time, for the benefit of the unified whole structure?

1) i don't think the latter is possible, thus it should be the former: we should and might agree on one way some day.
2) world-peace or such is never going to happen, conflict naturally creates a whole, albeit a chaotic one, just accept nature.
3) i vaguely intuit that and how the latter might in principle be possible and find it highly desirable.
4) what the heck are you talking about?

Ni makes my head hurt. The latter sounds idealistic but impossible. How is there a conceivable end to all paradigms? I suppose in essence all paradigms are one paradigm but good luck getting each new fetus that is conceived every millisecond to grasp that. It also sounds a little odd in a Big Brother sort of way. I'm going with the former. More likely that someday we'll come to a consensus that peace is more mutually productive than individual gain is worth. Hopefully increasing interconnectedness will foster that.

World peace will be achieved once everyone reaches that mental realisation of what a cosmic joke life is. We're the punchline of our own existance.

Of course since people are being born all the time you would need to update this for every new generation. Perhaps a new form of education at an 'insignificance school'?

World peace will never happen, but we can make our little corners better (by doing a combination of things, including listening, community-building, practicing good self-care, reaching out, etc). So, I disagree with all your options.

There's human greed and there's human laziness. Greed is the problem with capitalism and laziness is the problem with socialism. On the other hand, greed and laziness are incredibly important mechanisms for change in stagnant systems; they drive innovation and exchange of ideas (how to reduce effort and increase output). As technology increases, the amount of labor required for a given amount of output decreases, which means the cost of resources always trends downwards over time. So instead of hoarding resources through war and conquest, it eventually becomes more effective to trade for them. Trade is beneficial for both parties by definition, so even the exploited sides get more resources as time passes. One day, even the most exploited people will have enough resources for terrorism and war to be a bad strategy.

A counterargument to this may be overpopulation (which increases scarcity of resources), but I couldn't see how this trend could fight the rate of growth of technology. And since education will spread, birth control will spread, etc. etc. And maybe one day we'll expand out to other planets and the greediness in all of us will drive expansion of our race indefinitely.

I personally think that eventually demographic shifts will make for world peace, I think it has largely made for peace in central European nations already.

i think you overastimate the difference between those two options -

as it has being said:
the way to accommodate the natural unbalance of many ways will survive itself when the rest fall
answer the people with goods, provide them with trade, facilitate it through peace
in the lowest common demeanor, revolt after revolt, natural selection takes it place
need not carry one flag nor name, merely a persistent exchange of value
- the son of poo bear, the wisest of statemen

the systems that will last the longest are the ones that have the least amount of need to be overthrown, and if you think about it democracy is just that - a system for peaceful overthrow of governments heads, allowing the rest of the body to be intact.

and all parties agree on one central theme: people desire access to goods and services, whether it is by shouting for jobs or by shouting for benefits, socialism or capitalism or any combo thereof, the core desire is unanimous: "i wants a world i can get more, do more and have more." this is facilitated by trade, and trade is facilitated by peace.

This pretty much sums it up for me! :)

I had the same thought over the weekend. Definitely something every kindergarten student should learn.

I say do it productively though. Just teach them science.

In all honesty, for as long as there's greed, world peace isn't going to happen.
