What would you consider an ethical humanism or ethically humanistic out look to be or to look like? Is it a measure to judge ideological positions by or a means of communication between ideologically polarised positions?

By that I mean would some ideologies critically fail when considered from the position of tenets of a basically humanistic philosophy or would the tenets of a basically humanistic philosophy be honestly shared by polarised ideological positions?
