The Tree of Life and the Supernatural

Really, was Jesus natural or supernatural? Was he part of the tree of life related to every living thing on Earth, or was he supernatual, born of a virgin with God as his father?

"The Origin of Species", says he was part of the tree of life, and this is confirmed by genetics; on the other hand the Bible says he is a God man.

So for the origin of Jesus, do we want to look up to the supernatural, or do we want to look back into deep time to the roots of the tree of life?
