So if Jesus did not exist due to the writing of lies that have remained uncovered/buried for over 2000 years, can we ever hope to believe that anyone from the past ever existed. At one time, many people doubted the existence of Troy and Nineveh due to their only being mentioned in writings with no present archeological evidence to back them up. Josephus also may have made a remake towards Jesus, that’s if Josephus existed. Paul also mentions over 500 people seeing Jesus in a letter to the Corinthians, if Paul existed. It’s a piss poor system that requires anyone to get their name plastered on historical documents of their time or risk the fate of being a non-person.

Gosh, Israeli archeologists have proven beyond any shadow of doubt that the Exodus didn't occur. And the Exodus is a key portion of the Bible.

And a Mormon archeologist has shown that the Book of Mormon, which is a history of North and Central America, is a complete fiction.

And as far as we know, Jesus is also a fiction.

Yes, based on the numbers given ("600,000 men + wives and children") in the Bible, there is no real evidence that has been uncovered to signify that amount of people being sustained for a 40-year-old journey through that region, nor has there been any evidence of an Egyptian captivity that lasted 400 years. Also, from what I can tell, the growing consensus is that Iron Age Israel's roots were actually in Canaan and not Egypt, based on what evidence in their camps was dug up.

Realistically, it seems like a poor bet to believe an Exodus occurred as recorded.

What's funny is that more conservative Christian archaeologists and scholars attacked and debunked Mormon "history" decades ago. As much as Judeo-Christian history has been debatable, there was no evidence whatsoever of any of the sorts of establishments in North America that Smith had claimed around 1000 CE.

I think that's a different topic than whether a historical Jesus existed, there's a lot of circumstantial evidence of such. More it's a matter of what things were true about him.
