I feel really strongly connected to Nietzsche because he's pretty much the father of nihilism, which I have struggled strongly against since I was in third grade.

Other than him, I really admire Sun Tzu, for what he wrote in the Art of War has turned my life around for the better after reading it. Many people may find it dry reading and that it doesn't relate to modern times, but I read it and grasped some of its Taoist messages. So yeah, Nietzsche, and Sun Tzu ftw.
