Oh, and from what I understand BJ University (ha ha ha) isn't actually a real, accredited uni. I could be wrong, but last I heard they weren't authentic academia.

Okay. I can understand having something for pornography addiction, but for just plain pornography, whut? I can imagine someone having problems dealing with their homosexuality and acceptance of that, particularly by others, but wait a second, these two things are right next to adultery? This IS a crisis hotline for college students, right? How many 4-year degree-seeking full time college students do you know who are married, anyway?

Alright, so it looks like they were still prohibiting blacks from enrolling as recently as the mid 1970s. And it wasn't until 2000 that they ended the interracial dating ban, because George Bush became supportive of the organization and drew criticism for that.

OK, I've never found myself in the position of defending Bob Jones University, but I do have to laugh at the idea that this is somehow promoting "conformists." Did you grow up in the town from Footloose? Is the Church Lady your next door neighbor? In what universe is American culture encouraging people to adhere to the values espoused at Bob Jones and only a band of merry secular rebels fighting the good battle to take pornography mainstream?

Also, they didn't allow interracial dating until the year of our Lord 2000. I call (semi bullshit) because the main tenants of their university are founded on biblical truth, but they add and take away. I can't find anywhere in my bible where dancing or drinking alcohol are prohibited. The other necessary precursor in determining bullshit or not-bullshit is whether you accept Christian doctrine. If you don't...I don't think Bob Jones is going to convince you otherwise.
