Falcarius, when I birthed my babies and looked at them for the first time, that was the beginning of my doubts about original sin.
I certainly did recognize the potential for the choices to make mistakes that were inherent there. That just encouraged me to do the best job I was able at giving them the kind of knowledge I thought would help them. And like most human beings, and the story of Adam and Eve illustrates, they had to seize premature knowledge (experience ) of things they weren't ready for yet.
I think that's the warning in the story.
(A suffering jesus of a mother I was! I told them, but nooooo. Universal truths. Heh.)
