You say neutral ground? I propose that sort of fence sitting is part of the problem.

If neutral ground actually worked, why were you the only one to propose it? The vast majority of reactionary posts from otherwise intelligent posters outright rejected that proposition. They reacted in a way that my OP accused them of THOTTery. Read the OP again, I said nothing of the sort, yet their conscience convicted the majority of the girls to react in a hostile way, and the majority of boys to react with dismissive pandering when I wasn't even talking to anyone in particular (besides other Christians). Maybe if it was more of a "THOT Appreciation Thread" the market would've liked it better? (, but I prefer operating in niche' markets) I wouldn't say neutral ground is the rule, rather the exception. In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, we call this reactionary behavior "Being a spazz."

So, we discuss this on neutral ground: There's a problem we both see - I say it's a metaphysical problem. You say it's a psychological problem (from what I gather). I said psychology has been lobbing pills at people for the better part of two decades, with worsening results. I say again, that it's a metaphysical problem with physical (psychological) symptoms, you suggest we get back to neutral ground on the behest of ceecee (who obviously isn't paying attention, as you pointed out), and now we're here.

Are you wanting to approach this purely from the psychological? The videos call it Somatic Narcissism. Now, what causes it? Do you propose further psychological issues? Then, what caused them? and so on. The proposition was that these are all symptoms of an underlying spiritual issue: God is dead. The foundation of all being. You might've read about a certain parable of building a house on Rock or sand:

Do houses sit atop fences? Neither, are subjects tackled from "neutral ground." We all bring our own presuppositions to the fore. Even in science. Coriolis, for example is Baha'i, so she presupposes metaphysical questions through the worldview of "gradual revelation" and "manifestations of God" etc. Out of curiosity, is "Neutral Ground" your worldview?
I don't have time to pick through all of this, but will make a few quick points. First, I am not Baha'i; you have assumed incorrectly. Second, what do you mean by "neutral ground", and who here is proposing it? Finally, you are correct that some of the classical scientists approached scientific inquiry as one way to learn more about God, by studying his creation. I have compared this to learning about an artist, author, or composer by studying his/her works. The nature of that process of scientific inquiry does not change, just because some flawed humans are willing to pervert or ignore it for selfish ends.

Look at that, you quoted the exact portion of the post I edited out due to it's clunkiness. I could've sworn you told me you were Baha'i in the past. I'll look for the post. I'm assuming "neutral ground" is the no man's land between Metaphysics and Physics? Or it could be Swaziland.

I referenced some elements of Baha'i faith, but that does not make me Baha'i. Look all you want, but it won't change that.

So, I’m mistaken.

1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy‬ 3‬:1-7‬ NASB)

“Last days” as we (Orthodox Christians) see it is more of a continuous timeline (“partial Preterism” in Protestant-speak) of history unfolding, which seems corroborated by Einstein’s theory of space-time that the concepts of past, present, and future are merely human constructs, and not truly an accurate description of the nature of time. 🤔

May the Lord help us to overcome our spiritual pride and return to the Source of life everlasting. 🙏🏼☦️😊

With all due respect; Teacher of the Law, have you ever read Ecclesiastes?

What's your take on Ecclesiastes ?

Not that I’m beholden to Sola Scriptura, but the overall message seems to be that vanity (pride/arrogance) causes us to fall to sin in the same ways as pertaining to our characteristic personalities, so most of these disastrous foibles seen and witnessed in the world and in our own lives are nothing new, and seem to repeat themselves throughout the ages (accounting for technology, of course). The book concludes that to short circuit this tendency, we ought to return to God in order to be made whole again.

For example: The "No-Fap movement" realized that porn is disastrous for young men and aims curb this part of them, but the Church has been advocating for chaste abstinence for ages. It's repetitious in the "Simpsons did it!" sort of way.

Thank you for asking. God bless. 😊❤️

The thing about these threads, I dont think they reach the right conclusions and there's a lot of misinformation, ideological blinkers etc. within the vids but some of the questions which prompt it all are fair enough.

I read an interesting book on the so called narcissism epidemic from a US author a few months back, it was an interesting mix of legit psychological observation and some pretty blinkered conservative prescriptions, the style and pace of the overall narrative made it hard to read though, it was packed wall to wall with conservative tropes and intergenerational prejudices.

It could have been Habermas who wrote about the idea that there could be no clear communication between human beings, kind of an expansion on Churchill's observation (or was it Oscar Wilde?) who said the US and UK were two nations divided by a common language, a lot of the time I've thought there's some weight to that. I dont doubt the sorts of conviction that does obstruct communication.

Found this article, finally explaining the word thot and where it came from. Apparently it was popular among a bunch of people that wanted something called "white sharia."

She says that she and Samantha fit a familiar pattern within the alt-right. "Like 70 percent of the time, the women earn the money and the men do podcasts. And they do podcasts about how women shouldn't have jobs."

I found this amusing. Just kind of makes the guys look really pathetic, lazy, and entitled. Certainly not very much in the way of "personal responsibility" at all.

It is time for us to power down our mirrors. In the mirror killing appears as birthing, and birthing is death.

How are we to know what affirms life, if everything in the mirror is birthing?

We stare at the mirror, and we are all entranced, just like the Royal Australian Prince Andrew Commission Against Child Abuse.

Australians know enough about kangaroos to recognize that Hop On Pop is an Oedipal fairytale, one I certainly would not like in a box, with some lox.
