Notre Dame and Civilization

The ashes of civilisation are falling over Paris. Yes, Notre Dame Cathedral is burning.

Christianity brought us the phonetic alphabet from the Greco Roman Empire, and created us as literate individuals, with an individual salvation.

And just as Notre Dame is burning, the phonetic alphabet is burning, and the literate individual is gasping in the smoke.

And outside, the etribes, the electronic tribes of the global village, await. They await us: unempathic, while ceaselessly waging identity warfare.

In our grief we make a pathetic promise to rebuild Notre Dame in five years, while three thousand years of the phonetic alphabet burn in front of us.

Civilization is burning, and the barbarian tribes await us at the gate.

A Job and a Role

I burst upon the world as a literate individual, born from 3,000 years if the phonetic alphabet, and earned a specialised job.

In the meantime the world has changed, and when the world changes, I change. I dropped out of my specialised job into a role. My role is Mole. To meet Mole click on The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame: Ch. 1: The River Bank .

Mole is important because he was born during the first globalisation when hope and trust, and even charm, were high. But they were all destroyed by WW I, the global Depression, and WW II. At the moment were are in the middle of a second globalisation and the once and future Mole has returned.

Oh, yes. Indeed. However, I don't think the south will win this war while the plutocracy is busy funding onanistic projects. The referee said stop once, but now he's mad. Rita must've known that the bucket was empty. The annals attest that twinkle twinkle is the right way to stop such uproar, but the world has changed, and new measures must be made. Additionally, I don't think the ministry's demands align with the referendum of globalization at all. Whose line is it anyway? The price is right. Hakuna matata.

It's impossible not to sneeze while looking at your face. The barbarian tribes will hate that.

The archbishop of Canberra and the archbishop of Sydney have both published paranoid texts. And we remember paranoia is psychological preparation to attack.

They have been revealed by their boss Cardinal George Pell in jail, their power has been reduced and they wish to strike back. The technique they have chosen it to paint themselves as victims, even claiming Notre Dame is an attack on the Church.

And like predators anywhere they will choose vulnerable people to attack.
