Pretty good quiz. I was surprised at how high ESTP was ranked though. I usually test as an INFP or an ENFP (rarely an INFJ and maybe I got ENTP once). I suppose I can also see how I resemble ESFP. I've just never thought of myself as a particularly ESTP-ish person.

My core beliefs align with S more, so when asked behavioral questions I always answer according to what I ought to do, or think is better, or think is right, and purpose within myself to do. Theories have some degree of mystery and demand some degree of inquisitive exploration. This allows me to use analytical skills, and abstract thinking, which I thoroughly enjoy (and am naturally better at than observation, the here and now, etc...by a landslide); on the other hand, never being able to confirm the theories means that futile inquisition and construction of understandings is an absolute waste of my time and my life, therefore I would rather deal with concrete and that which improves or diminishes the quality of my life, in spite of the fact that it removes some element of fun and is difficult for me to conform to. In other words, if I'm going to go through life never knowing whether it's true or not, regardless of whether I explore in it or not, then...wouldn't it be more logical to spend my time doing something that contributes value to my life? I like a challenge, a puzzle. Dwelling in obvious answers for too long bores me. I just think there are more useful things to spend my time on than eternally ambiguous ones.

In theory, I suppose that would make me an INTP whose "internal framework" consists of not being "INTP-like." What a doozy...what does that say about MBTI?

Points for the backround. Add some numbers on those questions though.
You can reformulate the conspiracy theories question into two different questions and use it to make a distinction between Ni vs Ne:
1. Do you buy into existing conspiracy theories? (Ni)
2. Do you invent conspiracy theories for personal gain/troll urges? (Ne)
The test gave me my type with 75%, but also 3 more types with the same percentage.

I prefer not to have absolutes, it would be good to have middle options or maybe even remove a middle option and have four options. Also in response to the test, which must have taken some time honing, some of the questions are good imo but some are a little leading. The one about preferring facts or theories for example, might be good to input scenarios for context. But still it's great to see people making the effort to forward this field.

Your very best friend has just came to you after a break-up, and is distraught, which of the following is more natural for you to do?

Neither answer. I'd rather give a minimum of advice to the person and just enough emotional support. I don't want this to become a situation in which I'm being leaned on. I don't want her (or him) to feel completely alone or at a loss, but it also is not my business to take the problem over and solve it or to try to resolve the person's emotions about it. The best thing to do is to keep steady, stable, and normal. Not only is that less stressful on me, but it also provides a baseline and something for them to feel is unchanged, while they are experiencing their other situation.

I'd love to create essentially a "story" type-me quiz at some point where the whole damn thing is in context and your responses tree branch off into different areas that narrow down on a likely type by the end of that specific story.

Like a "Choose Your Own Adventure". Awesome quiz idea.
