An altered version of Team Technology's MBTI test

For whatever reason, the test by Team Technology pits non-contradictory functions against each other (Ne vs. Si, etc.). I've never really understood why this was the case. From what I understand, they may be contradictory in Socionics, but the test claims to be a MBTI test, not a Socionics one.

So I have just switched around the statements so this isn't the case. You may take "my" test here: HelloQuizzy.com: The Altered Version of Team Technology's MBTI Test

There is a link to the original test within the test above if you are interested. The test is still highly imperfect, but there you go.

Well, shit. I thought my Ti was a lot stronger than that. Maybe I really should rethink my type...

Well, no, it basically just has you at definitely SF. The other things aren't entirely clear.

Both of your thinking scores are extremely low, so I don't see a need to rethink anything.

Oh I know, I was just talking about how I was listed as ISFJ, but looking at those results made me consider ESFJ more.

....even based on those questions, my Ti is higher than that. I answered close to the middle for most of the Fi/Ti questions, but slightly favoring Fi because I found it hard to choose between the two options. I feel like a future test should probably be less shy to add to "opposing" function scores...

Could buy ISFJ though.

Altered version result: INTP

4% Se, 11% Si, 44% Ne, 30% Ni, 26% Te, 48% Ti, 15% Fe, 4% Fi

Original:

E - 45, I - 55
S - 42, N - 58
T - 58, F - 42
J - 46, P - 54

The MMDI thinks your personality is closest to the INTP stereotype and 2nd closest to INTJ. If your closest personality type is INTP then you have a strong sense of the hidden principles that govern how the world works. You are interested in theoretical models and explanations, and when other people put forward their own theories you put them to the test to find out how true or robust they are. You enjoy solving difficult intellectual problems and seek to understand the real truth behind any situation, even when it involves several complex factors.

Never got that much Se before.
The questions were so difficult to answer though, but so was the original.
I think I got such high Te was because I knew for sure that I didn't like the Fe things.

"I feel satisfied when..." would definitely bring out people's Tertiary and Inferior functions when not considering how experienced you actually are with those functions, so I'm not surprised by the NFJ -> STP switch.

My results:
ESFJ

70% Fe, 52% Fi, 44% Si, 44% Ne, 41% Ni, 15% Se, 14% Ti, 11% Te

....wtf. o. O

...mine on the otherhand... I'm not sure where I went wrong.

Yeah, I would've liked a result like that to say IXTP, but I was too lazy to add results like that in.

Why would that bring out people's tertiary and inferior functions? Do you not think people enjoy using their dominant and auxillary functions?

Team Technology mbti test more like "I've never got XXXX before..." test

?

Also, I've noticed this test seems to have an Fe bias.

I thought the title said "An altered version of Team Rocket", and then I was disappointed, but must say, thread delivered.

edit: according to this, I'm an NF.

I vs E of course is hardly tested for in this, but from looking at the results, it backs up what reckful said, in that e.g. if you tend to score highly in Ni, you score highly in Ne too, rather than Se. (someone please correct me if I've formed this conclusion too hastily)
