This test was really smart even though some of it doesn't make sense ^-^
My results were weird but interesting. The Destiny answer was true though, most of all. The rest are odd words which I think only I can understand and I think thats really cool.

My type was ENFP

Guide (intuition/conscience): Loneliness
Soul (inner personality): Harmony
Shadow (lacking quality): Colonization
Imago (ideals): Contradictory(?)
Persona (outer personality) Untrustworthy...?
Spectre (anxieties) : Conflict
Giant (driving force and creativity): Paradoxical
Dwarf (some that is holding back): War...lets just say conflict for this one.
Battle (something to be fought): Irony?
Station (approach to life and identity): Acting
Destiny (Ultimate achievement) : Truth

I got ESFP. I don't know if I'm an ISTP or an ESFP. I have things in common with both, I guess; and it seems that some people agree with ISTP or ESTP.... This is really frustrating .

I got ENFP...

It's very interesting, but I think it would be better if done in person because the computer blindly put things that didn't match. Like my middle word, which is supposed to be where you wanted to be was vacuous.

The last categories were pretty predictable, but I obviously went with what I thought of each word and not my own type.

Just a heads up to say that Watchword Type usually correlates only moderately with MBTI type. This is because it taps into rather different psychological processes.

The MBTI assesses consciously expressed preferences. It is therefore more likely to reflect the acquired, socialized aspect of psychological type. The Watchword Test, on the other hand (because it is a projective measure of performance) is more likely to reflect "natural" or spontaneous tendencies which are more influenced by unconscious processes. Sometimes this means that Watchword Type can be very different from MBTI type.

It can be interesting and informative to reflect on the similarities and differences that you may find between your Watchword Type and MBTI Type.

Also, because of the spontaneous nature of the Watchword Test, you may find that your Watchword Type is more variable than your MBTI Type when tested on different occasions. This can often give insights into your changing psychological situation. For example, a normally thinking type might find that feeling is indicated on the Watchword Test, suggesting that the feeling function is particularly strong at this time.

As Jung himself noted, psychological type is never a static thing.

As advised I have taken the test again, and in the morning to see if my results are any different. It has been helpful taking it twice, as I can now see the common themes more clearly :)

  • Kammata + trust -- complete affirmation that you're doing the right thing.
  • "Reality" as the 'GIANT' word. Nice.
  • Yeah, the gypsies weren't exactly known for their cohesion.

It's fun to see associations of others.

Interpreting the Jungian dynamics from the word associations is by far the more interesting and fun part of the Watchword Test, though it does require a willingness to play with symbolic meanings. It's also fascinating to see the words other people are generating - thanks for sharing these.

BTW, you can download a free extract of my book Self-Discovery the Jungian Way: The Watchword Technique from lybrary.com

Self-Discovery The Jungian Way by Michael Daniels : Lybrary.com

And if you want to buy the book, the PDF from lybrary.com is the cheapest option.
