Average extraversion

People with average extraversion scores tend not to crave the company of others quite as much as people with high extraversion scores. But they also don't necessarily feel happiest on their own like people with low extraversion scores. They are somewhere in between. Sometimes they enjoy the stimulation of events like parties, but they are also more able to make their own entertainment.

Average agreeableness

People with average agreeableness scores tend not to be as keen to understand other people's feelings as people with high agreeableness scores. But they are also more likely to seek a compromise or avoid offending others than people with low agreeableness scores. They are somewhere in between. They can engage positively with others and put people at their ease, but they may be more likely to speak their mind, even at the risk of offending someone.

Average conscientiousness

People with average conscientiousness scores have a sense of responsibility and like to get the job done. However, they might concentrate more on the big picture and less on the details than people with high conscientiousness scores.

Average emotional stability

People with average emotional stability scores are more likely to have mood swings than people with high emotional stability scores. But they tend to have a less varied emotional life than people with low emotional stability scores. They are somewhere in between. They can be fairly relaxed and predictable, but may occasionally have strong emotional reactions to events.

High intellectualism

People with high intellectualism scores are interested the abstract. They like thinking about things they can't see and have creative imaginations, able to dream up whole new worlds. They like to feel they understand things and will probe deeply into a subject to get as good an insight as possible.

Average emotional intelligence

People with average emotional intelligence scores have a reasonably good emotional insight, but are only human. They believe they are relatively good at empathising with other people, though like anyone else they can occasionally get it wrong. Average scorers tend to see themselves as fairly well balanced, with some insight into their emotional make-up. They are pretty good at interacting with others and use their emotional insight to try to understand other people as well as they can.

I actually prefer Impressionism the most outside of the test. I just didn't like those particular paintings.

Your favourite type of art is Northern Renaissance.

Northern Renaissance painters of the 16th century had their own style and created works focused on morality, religion and human nature. (That definitely appeals to my personality type...)

In the personality profile you had a high intellectualism score, which suggests you like to think about abstract ideas and have a creative imagination.

I think that since everyone likes impressionism so much, they should do their impression of a tree.

I'm interested in knowing what scale they used for Emotional Intelligence. I'm currently doing a research proposal on using it as a variable, and I didn't recognize any questions related to EI. Didn't they say they used the Global Five (versus the six they gave me in the results section)?

Your favourite type of art is Cubism.
Looking at a cubist painting is a bit like gazing into a shattered mirror – the image is fragmented and you can see it from different angles.

Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque invented Cubism between 1907 and 1914 and, in the process, threw out the painting 'rulebook'. They were chiefly inspired by the French Post-Impressionist painter Paul Cézanne, who once said that "nature should be treated as cylinders and cones". Picasso and Braque created pictures with fractured perspective that didn't imitate nature.

Picasso once said: "There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, but there are others who, thanks to their art and intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun."

High extraversion
People with high extraversion scores tend to thrive on company – they're more likely to enjoy mingling and meeting new people. They crave stimulation and enjoy parties and other events where there's a lot going on. They'd also tend to be very open about themselves and their emotions.

Low conscientiousness
People with low conscientiousness scores have a laid-back attitude when it comes to being organised and getting things done. They are less concerned about order and prefer a relatively easy life to one that follows a detailed plan. They may procrastinate and not see things through, but the lack of rigid structure to their lives can make them more able to drop what they're doing and move onto something different.

High emotional intelligence
People with high emotional intelligence scores see themselves as emotionally well balanced. They believe they are good at empathising with other people and have a good insight into their own emotional needs, drives and reactions. High scorers see themselves as well balanced and largely in control of their own emotions. They also tend to feel confident in interacting with people and believe they are able to connect with and influence others by using their emotional understanding.

Low extraversion

People with low extraversion scores tend to be happier with their own company. They may have a small number of close friends rather than a wide circle of acquaintances. Less keen on going to wild parties and meeting people, they are more able to make their own entertainment and don’t seek as much external stimulation.

Low emotional stability

People with low emotional stability scores have a very varied emotional life. They often have a lot of nervous energy, which can motivate them to do things. They have a strong emotional response to events and can't always predict how they're going to react, but whatever the reaction their life has a powerful emotional intensity.

High intellectualism

People with high intellectualism scores are interested the abstract. They like thinking about things they can't see and have creative imaginations, able to dream up whole new worlds. They like to feel they understand things and will probe deeply into a subject to get as good an insight as possible.

Yeah, they were. I finished it anyway. I don't really prefer one type of art to another. The subject, mood, and colors are more important to me than the style.

I gotta admit, I did prefer the NR artwork by far. ;)

Average intellectualism

People with average intellectualism scores are less likely to be interested in abstract ideas than people with high intellectualism scores. But they are not always as focussed on practical matters as people with low intellectualism scores. They are somewhere in between. Sometimes they are interested in learning the details behind something outside their everyday experience, but they also have a fairly good grounding in the real world.

Emotional intelligence

Your emotional intelligence score is slightly below average. People with lower emotional intelligence scores aren't always confident interacting with other people and sometimes find it hard to know what others are thinking. They may also find it hard to control their emotions. Many psychologists believe it is possible to improve emotional intelligence with practice.
