No; you don't automatically do well at memorization contests just because you have strong Si. Memorizing something requires that you have seen or heard or otherwise learned it before. The fact that you did poorly is evidence that you just didn't know most of these words--if you'd seen most of them before, Si would be likely to score very highly.

I agree with those who've questioned the validity of this as an IQ test (not that IQ tests say much either). It means nothing if you've never seen the word before. Heck, it can't even determine what kinds of things you read, because even the more complicated books tend to use reader-friendly vocabulary.

To those wondering, VQ is one of the multiple intelligences that has been postulated in tandem with about 4 or 5 others in attempt to take a stab at g (general intelligence), something IQ failed at.

I scored high, but it may have been that both reading comprehension content sections were about neural networks and then social psychology, two subjects I find interesting and have already read quite a bit about.
