I've had the assesment twice and a bunch of these informal web based quizes. The result is always the same - INTP to the bone. I think a certain part of me would be happy to have a different result pop up. Which would illogical since I would be the same as I ever was - I make the test results, the test result does not make me.

This doesn't test for J or P. The test simply chooses that letter based on the MBTI assumption that TiNe is equal to INTP. But there is no contradiction in being an INTJ with Ti as your highest preference. Such results as yours are great confirmation that the MBTI is wrong.

I'm confused, my common MBTI results are INFP and INTP... Neither of which showed up here.

The test assumes your highest function scores have something to do with your MBTI type. But are they really that closely related? And does this test really search for your auxiliary type? It is only assuming that the function opposite to the one you scored highest on is your auxiliary. In this case, the secondary opposite score is Se. Fi and Se add up to ISFP.

This test is obviously flawed at determining MBTI. But it is good at rooting out your strengths and weaknesses. Fi and Fe are your obvious strengths. Ti and Ne are obviously less developed.
