Ok, just read their descriptions.

If you had to reconcile the two frameworks (which, obviously, you don't), I think you'd have to say that the Mindframe system's four "thinking" mindframes correlate to MBTI's "introverted" functions, and that Mindframe's four "action" mindframes correlate to MBTI's four "extroverted" functions.

Mindframe :: MBTI
Proactivity :: Te
Logic :: Ti
Charisma :: Ne
Insight :: Ni
Control :: Se
Order :: Si
Sociability :: Fe
Sensitivity :: Fi

Those correlations seem to make some semblance of sense, based on the descriptions of the mindframes and the descriptions of the functions, but, based on people's (stated) MBTI type and the results posted thus far, the relationship looks iffy at best.

I think it's relevant to note that these possible correlations between the two systems probably would make the most sense when the MBTI function being considered is in the dominant position.

Well, in fact, there are way more ways, once you download the specialized analysis (I think there's one coupon they give you for a free special analysis, which is the "revelations"). It gives you a percentage-detailed profile, and some other facts from it, and it sure told me way more than what mbti did. And the ways are now 100^8 (note the order is not important now, because the data should be organized by the program with any of the possibilities). As for the Lenore Thompson theory, I agree completely, it's baseless.

The reason it can tell you more is it allows for certain combinations to be true. More instruments need to be created which get rid of dichotomies and all underlying assumptions. MBTI is peddling functions which it thinks people should use, rather than what they really can use. Mindframes knocked out the bias, which I certainly approved of.

As for Lenore, I am not a fan. She's off with Captain Kirk making more lasagna for her lasagna theory.

In Your Comfort Zone
LOGIC - Meaning - Reason-based - Thought - Very often - (Ti) - 100
INSIGHT - Meaning - Feel-based - Thought - Very often - (Ni) - 96
CHARISMA - Meaning - Feel-based - Action - Often - (Ne) - 88

Outside Your Comfort Zone
PROACTIVITY - Meaning - Reason-based - Action - Sometimes - (Te) - 84
SENSITIVITY - Perception - Feel-based - Thought - Sometimes - (Fi) - 84
CONTROL - Perception - Reason-based - Action - Sometimes - (Se) - 82

So, I'm not so sure about the MBTI correlates -- they are reasonably close, but seemingly not perfect...

Other than (Ti) being my lead, everything else follows pretty much exactly as I would expect my function order to go...

When I took a function order test, however, I came out almost full on Ti as well, so, maybe there's something to that...

And who woulda thunk... the (Fe) correlate being my last one... :cheese:

So, I'm... Ti > Fe > Ne > Fi? :huh:

Uh, you're a Ti basher. Now what, buckaroo? :laugh:

I figure I can:

1. Reject this Mindframes stuff as nonsense.

- Issue: I think I do use logic extensively, so the results kinda make sense.

2. Reject this MBTI stuff as nonsense.

- Issue: I think the INTJ description fits me extremely well, with the ENTJ description also fitting to some extent. I do not feel the INTP or ENTP descriptions fit me well at all.

3. Reject the correlates of the "mindframes" to the "functions".

- Issue: I've also scored 100% Ti on MBTI functional strengths tests (which was equal with my Ni, and higher than my Te), so I'm not surprised to get this result as well...

4. Reject my previous beliefs about Ti-doms/auxs.

- Issue: INTPs and ENTPs tend to be such idiots...

5. Modify my understanding of Mindframes, MBTI, and their relationship.

- I think I'm going with #5.

All of this through rationalizations? Powerful stuff, that. I suppose there is no identifiable proof either way.

I actually kind of like this one, the division between thought and action along the four different dimensions.. it seems like it's got the potential to be a pretty useful and insightful little framework.

well,

LOGIC Thought Very often (Lead mindframe)
INSIGHT Thought Very often
PROACTIVITY Action Very often

I guess this is the one test that's actually pretty consistent for me

CHARISMA is the mindframe of influence. It enables you to:

Participate in discussions about ethical or moral issues
Advise, coach or counsel others when they have problems
Encourage others to do their best
Ask questions to find out what a person wants or needs
Persuade someone to make a commitment
Show a high level of energy when doing things important to you
Help resolve a conflict between two individuals
Explain the benefits of following your suggestions and recommendations
Collaborate with others to pursue a worthy cause
Facilitate a discussion group
Brainstorm new ideas with other people
Express your values and beliefs
Describe your vision with passion and charisma
Present motivational or inspirational talks
Use facial expressions and gestures to convey your heart-felt emotions
Talk about your ideals with flair and conviction

Yet another test where the results can change depending on which context you're focusing on when you answer each question. How we are at work and in personal relationships can vary, greatly.

Think about how you really are in your work AND personal life–when you’re being yourself .

Logic 92
Proactivity 76
Control 70
Insight 60
Order 60
Sensitivity 56
Charisma 46
Sociability 40

I did the test again and it spat out my old result. Clever buggers, you need to pay the second time. This is my top result from last time and it would be my top this time too. Especially this part... isn't this life? Or is that just me?

...

SENSITIVITY also includes being aware of how you feel—your gut-level reactions. Feelings such as comfort, joy, wonder, delight, pleasure and excitement are the positive reactions you feel when you get what you want, when you experience something beneficial. On the other hand, not everything in life is fun, so you also experience the full of range of negative feelings. How do you react when an unexpected problem arises? When something you value is damaged or lost? When you believe you're in danger? When you're sick or injured?
