I'm surprised by how strongly NF this test puts me. I'm usually pretty borderline on the T/F axis.

Very odd...

SF - 0.159
ST - 0.443
NT - 0.636
NF - 1.0

------

www.cognitiveprofile.com - NF

Also, upon reading the entry for the NF quadrant, it seems to focus more on abstract creativity, rather than on emotions. Furthermore, they peg Einstein as an NF, which is something I have yet to encounter.

^The reason the results are "odd" is the test is odd.
IMO, you don't place THINK and IMAGINE at opposite poles.
That's like placing N and T at opposite poles.
So now, a bunch of solid NTs will become close to NFs or even solid NFs on that test.

NT=1.0
NF=1.0

See what I mean?
Actually, I forgot my S's.
I think SF was 0.1 something, and ST 0.4 or 0.6.
The whole test was too odd for me.

Exactly. If the test-taker has a stronger "N" preference than a "T" preference, they may very well score as NFs.

I suspect this pattern will hold true for someone with a higher "T" preference, as they may be more likely to score as STs.

This is what I've noticed as well, and it's probably why the ST/SF/NT/NF grouping is dissuaded.

The test isn't measuring each of the four dichotomies; with each question, it's measuring the preference of one temperament over another (although I'm not sure why they split the Ss on the T/F domain instead of the J/P). Whether this holds any merit or not, I can't say. It wasn't too far off for me.

I will say it again, you don't place "think" and "imagine" opposite each other in a forced-choice format test.
It's not that difficult to understand why.
Per the instructions, if you choose one strongly, it means you rarely do the other.
According to their line of thinking, a person can't both think and imagine.

Ridiculous.
