INTx, by your definition.
I had an apparently typical confusion between whether I was INTP or INTJ for a while, but I decided I strongly lean toward INTP.
Pretty decent test, but requires a little too much mental calculation at the end in this format. It would sell better if you could set it up automatically...punch in your answers, press a button, voilà. Obviously that wouldn't work here though.

but I've been testing NT a lot lately and I could see exactly where the F/T choices were in your options anyway, so relatively good test I guess

*NFJ which is pretty accurate, considering that's what I said I was when I joined this forum

I've since decided that I'm probably more I than E :)

This test has me at XNTX.

I think one can be logical and sympathetic, if it is logical to be sympathetic.
However, I will pick being logical first. I think it is more so because I trust my own logic rather than not caring for people though.

That's a bit like an ENTP post.

Please post whether or not this test types you and others accurately! Criticism is welcome. I would like to refine this into a relatively effective test that is also very quick and easy, especially for testing friends and family.

Which of the options is truest for you? If every option fits well, or no option fits well, simply choose the most appropriate answer. Please choose only one answer per question.

1.

a. I am drawn away from excessive solitude.
b. I am drawn away from excessive interaction.

2.

a. I care strongly whether things are ethically wrong or right.
b. I easily pick up on nuance and subtletly, and explore possibilities.
c. I am keenly aware of details, and of my physical environment.
d. I can tell you whether things are true or false, based on logic and my knowledge.

3A. Only answer if you chose a or d for question 2!

a. I easily pick up on nuance and subtletly, and explore possibilities.
b. I am keenly aware of details, and of my physical environment.

3B. Only answer if you chose b or c for question 2!

c. I care strongly whether things are ethically wrong or right.
d. I can tell you whether things are true or false, based on logic and my knowledge.

4.

a. I approach things with a plan.
b. I handle things as they come.

5.

a. I am usually sympathetic.
b. I am usually logical.

6.

a. After several hours in a group of four or more people, I may become uncomfortable.
b. After several hours alone, I may become uncomfortable.

7.

a. I prefer concrete facts.
b. I prefer theoretical possibilities.

ANSWER KEY (In White):

1. a=E, b=I
2. a=FJ, b=NP, c=SP, d=TJ
3. a=N, b=S, c=F, d=T
4. a=J, b=P
5. a=F, b=T
6. a=I, b=E
7. a=S, b=N

Add all responses for each preference of I or E, N or S, T or F, and J or P. If there is a tie, the result is null under this test (x), and other methods of typing should be used.
Just to let you know, Jack, I copied and pasted your test into a word document, so I can use it with people I know.
I tried it on my 5th grade teacher today, and he came out ISTJ.
From what I know about him, I would say that the outcome was accurate.

He has done personality type testing before and administered testing as well (not MBTI), though was not versed in it.
I think he had foundational knowledge that probably helped him give me the right answers.

It sounds like you'll get the reverse answer 3/4 of the time. People who are truly offensive think they're Jesus.
If a truly offensive person or any person for that matter, thinks they're Jesus, they're probably a feeler. So they'll pick B. If a thinker thinks they're Jesus they'll probably pick the F option regardless of how it's phrased.

Number four was sorta difficult. I usually go in with some sort of idea of what I'm doing (a plan) and then I take things as they come.

So yeah according to yours I am an INFX. This is accurate for me anyways, on my cognitive processes assessment I got Fi=Ne=Fe>Ni (by the slightest bit)>Te=Si>Ti>Se

EDIT: Perhaps add in another J/P question, having an even number of questions can cause issues (as with my assessment.). Then you can see whether the person got 2/3 J or 2/3 P. Just a thought.

I believe the 2nd question determined that you are an NP.

I don't think question four is perfect. If I ever come up with a much better selector, I'll ask a mod to edit the test for me.

Thanks.
