This question is particularly important for me: "I am more sensitive to the effects of caffeine than most people I know."

Strong coffee smell gives me headaches for some reason if I do not avoid it.

Your personal sensitivity level is 7.8% higher than that of the average person.

Your personal sensitivity score is moderate, indicating that while you fall somewhat short of the threshold for being a highly sensitive person, you nevertheless exhibit a fair amount of the signs associated with one. You may occasionally become overwhelmed by things like loud noises or bright lights, but, on the other hand, you are typically able to get through such instances with only mild discomfort or brief respites being necessary for you to regain your footing. You tend to prefer a more balanced lifestyle, as big changes and too brash of a pace can make you feel overwhelmed or unsettled. You may have noticed that some of these sensitivities began in childhood and you may at some point have been labelled as shy, anxious, or fearful by others who did not understand your sensitivity.

Your personal sensitivity level is 28.8% higher than that of the average person.

Your scores indicate that you qualify as a highly sensitive person. Most likely, you quickly become overstimulated by loud noises, bright lights, and chaotic circumstances, and you often find yourself retreating to a private, quiet space to recharge. You may have noticed that many of these signs of special sensitivity have been with you for as long as you can remember. This is because the neuropsychological disposition associated with being a highly sensitive person is to a large degree something you were born with or are significantly predisposed toward. While some people may misinterpret your sensitivities as shyness or fear, your sensitivity may also be a strength in artistic, creative, or intellectual pursuits.

At least it's not 100%

Your personal sensitivity score is low, indicating that you exhibit few of the signs of being a highly sensitive person. You generally process sensory stimuli resiliently and without becoming bogged down or overwhelmed. If your score is very low, you may even be well disposed to types of work that others would find unnerving or overstimulating, such as emergency response work, piloting, racing, or the military. You rarely experience overstimulation from sensory input and can most likely cope easily with things like loud noises, bright lights, or otherwise chaotic environments.

Yeah . . . my ears were ringing in pain next to that buzz saw and had headache for days after but there is no noticeable hearing damage. :headphne: Could have plugged up my ears but it's unmanly . . . the people in the olden days didn't have power tools - how pleasantly quietier!
