Your personality type is INTP.

Analytical, knowledgeable, and intellectual, you prefer to immerse yourself in complex problems and projects. If the interest is there, you can become so engulfed in the problem and your own thoughts about it that you tend to forget about everyday living and become absent-minded and remote. You are driven by a desire to understand and explore the problems that interest you on an intellectual level, which means that sometimes you are more interested in the ideas that govern a given problem than in the actual problem itself. You want to go your own ways and you resent being controlled or told what to do. And to your credit, you do not want to control other people either, if only you can be left free to organize the ideas in your own head.

Interesting, was expecting ISTJ.

Your personality type is INFJ.

Sensitive, empathic, and insightful, you care deeply about people, wanting to accommodate them on the one hand, and having strong visions that you desperately want to turn into reality on the other. Often preoccupied with mulling over your personal thoughts in your own head, others are likely to describe you as tolerant, courteous, and appreciative, but also a bit remote and dreamy. Thoughtful and caring, you have a well-developed facility for putting yourself in another person's place and an instinctive understanding of how people work. Though you tend to spend considerable time fantasizing about how society could be improved, you typically refrain from arguing passionately in favor of your solutions. Instead, you prefer to influence others by gently letting them know how their individual contributions would be invaluable in the greater scheme of things.

Logical, farsighted, and resolute, you have a tendency to seize upon every problem presented to you and map out an efficient, logical, and objective solution to that problem. You also find it natural that you should lead the effort to solve that problem. In fact, you just tend to find it natural that you should be the leader, period. You are not one to sit back and cry about a setback and you tend to let few things stand between you and the successful attainment of your goals. Once you have thought through a plan and settled on its superiority, you tend to work towards its completion in a structured, systematic, and, if need be, aggressive manner. While others might perceive you as an unfeeling juggernaut from time to time, the irony is that you actually do respect the people who know how to stand up to you and fight you on the logical rationales that you present as the justifications for your plans.

It wasn't me and it was not this test, but I had to post it on the most recent thread that had the "Jung test" name on it.

Ha. Nope. Whadduh story, Mark.

I like to take these tests as a fun parlor game, but I don’t believe they’re at all accurate. First, it’s nearly impossible to remain self objective, even if making a sincere effort. No one can accurately determine their own type with only 36 questions on a self reporting test lacking any objective external observation and analysis. This is why Jung and MBTI will never be taken seriously by the scientific community.

Second, the questions are stupid. Are you imaginative? Seriously? Everyone has an imagination. This doesn’t mean shit. At least it didn’t ask about daydreaming, which everyone also does, regardless of strength of intuition. Yet online Jung tests frequently ask about either daydreaming or imagination because hIgH iMaGiNaTiOn = hIgH iNtUiTiOn. These tests are designed to make people feel speshul and to generate plenty of site traffic.

Your personality type is ESTP

Oriented towards action, alert, and crafty, you are hard-headed and adaptable. Flexible, pragmatic, and straightforward, you don't beat around the bush but tend to get straight to the point. You are quick to size up a situation and quick to arrive at a working solution for addressing whatever problems you may encounter. Your open, shrewd, and agile attitude tends to mean that others sometimes look to you for guidance on what to do. In fact, you also tend to speak of the challenges that lie before you in a way that motivates others to join in and offer their help. Through your relaxed and flexible attitude, and enviable people skills, you are thereby capable of assembling coalitions to do what one man could not. Using any (or at least most) of the means at your disposal to reach your goals, you are persuasive and competitive to a fault and truly an entrepreneurial force to be reckoned with.

Oi! Another Jungian personality test. Very, very cool. I hope strongly for the forbearance to test this one-- yet, again! (And again, and again, and again!)
