You're the Path-Finder
You seek the freedom to do things your way. As you face the final curtain you’ll be proud to say you did it your way. That means having the freedom to make your own decisions and not being tied down by rules and routine.

Based on your responses, below are measurements of the priority you assign to each success driver. All drivers are potentially meaningful to you; your score for each indicates the relative priority you assign to any of the drivers when making decisions. Scores are neither good nor bad. Each person has their own set of priorities, and what is important to us can change with new life experiences.

I actually thought this was an interesting test. Usually the ones that have you choose pictures are shallow and fluff but not so at all with this one. Note my job has been in cybersecurity and I do a lot of work in risk management so I guess I picked the right thing to go into.

You're the Protector

You are looking out for your future. You want to make sure you and those you care about are safe and secure. With an eye for spotting risks, you want assurance that things won't go wrong, and if they do, that you can deal with the impact.

Your Success Drivers In Full - Based on your responses, below are measurements of the priority you assign to each success driver. All drivers are potentially meaningful to you; your score for each indicates the relative priority you assign to any of the drivers when making decisions. Scores are neither good nor bad. Each person has their own set of priorities, and what is important to us can change with new life experiences.

1 Security 7.3 Preserving the harmony and safety of oneself and one's team

2 Benevolence 6.8 Taking care of and being there for one's colleagues, friends, and family

3 Self Direction 6.7 Freedom of thought and action

4 Achievement 6.2 Personal success and acknowledgement

5 Power 4.9 Prestige and command over people and resources

6 Stimulation 4.2 Excitement, novelty and challenge

7 Fun 4.1 Pleasure, fun and having a good time

8 Discipline 2.7 Respecting social rules and responsibilities with others

9 Ethics 2.5 Understanding, appreciation and protection for the welfare of all people and nature

10 Tradition 1.2 Respect and appreciation for honoured customs

Your Top 3 Success Drivers: Security, Benevolence, Self Direction. You are looking out for your future. You want to make sure you and those you care about are safe and secure. With an eye for spotting risks, you want assurance that things won't go wrong, and if they do, that you can deal with the impact.Security at work. You like tasks which bring greater stability to your work environment. You may be drawn naturally to manage risks and ensure delivery, or to improve group dynamics to preserve harmony. Your sensitivity to hazards others miss likely makes you an invaluable voice at work. You also like to control your space at work. You may prefer to have your own desk where you can settle in rather than hot-desking around an office.

Putting it into practice: You may already be the person who manages risks in your company. If not, take on such a responsibility. You will find satisfaction in detecting potential threats and ensuring appropriate measures are taken to safeguard what you are working towards. It's important to you that where you work feels safe, even harmonious. Take a greater role in making others feel secure at work, and you will feel that way as well.

Potential conflicts(and how to overcome them)Some colleagues may take risks which threaten both you and the company. But recognise that in doing so they may help you identify weaknesses before it's too late. Like a periscope to the surface, they test the waters.

Who values Security? As the first woman to chair law firm Baker & McKenzie, then as France's finance minister and now as managing director of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde has proved herself to be a safe pair of hands in the very highest positions. In her role with the IMF she has called upon European countries to adopt ordered, stabilising economic policies during a tumultuous period for the Eurozone. When not keeping watch over the global economy she looks after her own health. Lagarde rarely drinks alcohol, is vegetarian, and swims as well as cycles.

How to live your Success Drivers

  • Make people feel safe
  • Be the visible champion of security and you'll give your colleagues the confidence to really focus on their work.
  • Take on being a reassuring presence.
  • Spot risks
  • Develop the skill of identify any weak points that could affect your company's success. Share what you see with your colleagues and suggest measures to strengthen security.
  • Be there for them. Make time for colleagues who seem to be struggling. By supporting them you're helping your whole company to pull together and work better.
  • Take charge. Identify tasks you can take ownership for. Ask your manager if you can be given more freedom to do them your own way. Excel at these and you’ll be trusted with bigger projects.

I found it difficult to tell what some of the images were supposed to portray, and didn't know who some of the people were ("whom do you most admire" question). For instance:

This quiz says I am the "Path-finder." Although I want to "pave my own way," I love routine.
