    Default Performance Improvements

I just tweaked some VBulletin settings to improve performance on the site. You might note that a a small number of look a little different with a a few things not being displayed anymore. I'm looking for feedback on how much faster you think it is and whether that increase in performance is worth losing some of the additional things being displayed.

Edit: I just reset the poll as several additional changes were made last night and this morning and some of things that were removed when I first created the OP have been added back in.

It is screwing things up. My subscribed threads is not working right, among other things.

    is it fixed?

Also, I really like seeing the recent post feed and that is gone.

    which recent post feed?

Where is the recent posts feed that used to show up at the bottom of the main forum page? Not the site's home page, but the forum tab.

Personally i liked the site just the way it was before the improvments as i liked the feed section so i could see currently active debates and threads to join in on.

Tell me is this a grin of joy or is it a grimace of pain? I forgot long ago which.....

To be honest I really dislike that there isn't the recent post feed in the main page. It's very handy option to see what discussions you can take part in right now and see quickly what is happening in forums. I know that there are 'new posts' in quick links, but still I think it was making the website more clear.

Oh I normally like change but this...I can't even! Literally. When on mobile it's too hard without the "recent posts" or showing which members are currently online.

It's like going to a restaurant and the menu gets taken away.

If we HAVE to make room: I'd rather do without the newest member/thread icon key. I never use them & we have "Welcomes & Introductions"...

Where is the thing at the bottom of each thread that used to say how many people are viewing a thread?

^ This was going to be my question, too.

Also, I strongly dislike that there seems to be no way to know which threads have new posts -- the titles of the threads aren't in bold, and they don't show up in User CP. It makes for much less efficient forum navigation.

So, I think what's happening here is we're sacrificing one form of efficiency for another.
