NI-TI vs NI-FI?

What's the difference between an ni-fi loop and ni-ti loop? I am struggling to figure out wether I'm INTJ or INFJ. Thanks!!

Ni-Fi loop: you get stuck in your head and instead of making short-term, result-oriented judgments on how much sense connections make (therefore moving forward in life), you just think about how much value those connections have to you.

I fail to see how a Jungian Introverted Intuitive type could be a J. This is a type more concerned with pursuing their flights of fancy than they are in molding the external world around them.

...the introverted intuitive moves from image to image, chasing after every possibility in the teeming womb of the unconscious, without establishing any connection between the phenomenon and himself. Just as the world can never become a moral problem for the man who merely senses it, so the world of images is never a moral problem to the intuitive. ... The extraverted standpoint would say of him: 'Reality has no existence for him; he gives himself up to fruitless phantasies'. A perception of the unconscious images, produced in such inexhaustible abundance by the creative energy of life, is of course fruitless from the standpoint of immediate utility.

The peculiar nature of introverted intuition, when given the priority, also produces a peculiar type of man, viz. the mystical dreamer and seer on the one hand, or the fantastical crank and artist on the other. The latter might be regarded as the normal case, since there is a general tendency of this type to confine himself to the perceptive character of intuition.

From an extraverted and rationalistic standpoint, such types are indeed the most fruitless of men. But, viewed from a higher standpoint, such men are living evidence of the fact that this rich and varied world with its overflowing and intoxicating life is not purely external, but also exists within.

Do you test as a J on MBTI tests, or does your self-typing as a J involve shoehorning MBTI types into a functions framework?

Also, I believe Jung regarded the auxiliary function as sharing the temperament of the dominant function, when sufficiently differentiated and conscious in the psyche. To him, Ni-Ti and Ni-Fi would have been the default types for an Introverted Intuitive type with a conscious auxiliary function, and not the result of the dominant and tertiary looping.
