the 16 personalities website has a fairly well-known MBTI test that determines your type as well as A or T which indicate how you respond to stress. If you respond assertively, then your type ends with an A (e.g., INTP-A). If your response is turbulent, then your type ends with a T (INTP-T).
While that is a very black-and-white distinction, typology is like that anyway, whether it's the JCF interpretation or something older. So I doubt if anybody is either all A or all T, just as nobody is all INTP or ESFJ. But I've seen that A vs. T makes a difference in a person's self-presentation, and more, it can make it confusing to determine type. An Assertive type comes off as being more J in Perceivers, and a Turbulent type comes off as being more P in Judgers. An Assertive type comes off as being more P in Judgers, and a Turbulent type comes off as being more J in Perceivers.
