[Jungian Cognitive Functions] Muddled functions!

I'm trying to find my dominant function (and therefore my type) and I'm looking at what functions I use (or to be more precise- don't use as taking it from a weakness angle is actually easier) but I've found I relate to both extroverted judging functions (Fe and Te) but not Ti or Fi, and both introverted percieving functions but not Ne or Se. How do I sort out this muddle? Or could it just be that I don't yet have a full understanding of the functions?

It's frustrating, isn't it?

Well, allow me to suggest that the problem may not be with you, but with the functions.

See this post.

If you want to go the way of the Jungian functions, then you might have more fun (and luck) with socionics, but be prepared to spend a lot of time reading and self-analyzing, rather than getting a quick and easy answer.

If you insist on typing yourself in the context of MBTI, then I'd suggest avoiding the functions and focusing on the 4 dichotomies.
