If we're going strictly by dichotomies, which of your letters is the strongest? Remember, there is no such thing as Si/Ne or Fe/Ti here. Just the plain letters.

Discuss. Do strongest letters by MBTI correlate to JCF? For instance, if someone's strongest letter preference was N, would that make them ENxP or INxJ? Or is there no correlation?

Probably E second being T.

I don't notice myself using T, but I sure do notice using E.

I've thought about this theory before too.

If a person's strongest preference is T, they are most likely either a Te or Ti dom.
If a person's strongest preference is J, they are most likely a Je dom.
If a person's strongest preference is P, they are most likely a Pe dom.
If a person's strongest preference is N, they are most likely an Ni/Ne dom.
If a person's strongest preference is S, they are most likely an Si dom/aux.

But then again, I'm an INFP, and my strongest preference in dichotomy is always N, followed by I.

So I don't think it's correlated. :3

F then P.

So your theory would be accurate in my case:
F first - Fi dom
P second - Ne aux
:)

N > P ~ I > F

(Pretty strong preferences, except for Feeling, which is mild... but still wins when push comes to shove.)

And I'm all about the preferences, and think that there's no empirical evidence for type dynamics. Anything that type dynamics actually explains well can be better explained by preference pairs (or triads).

My strongest preference is N, closely followed by P, which strongly follows the theory Destiny put up. lol I'm totally a Ne/overall Pe-dom >_>

Yeah I'd have to agree that this would be the correlation. S in preferences is pretty funny because it's basically being concrete and practical, which is definitely more Si than Se. You didn't post one for the F preference though. Hmm, I feel like F is more Fe overall TBH (cooperating with people, being more sensitive than objective), or more of an emotional stability thing which doesn't exactly correlate, though some things could work for Fi.

I/E doesn't really have much to do with functions.

But then again, I'm an INFP, and my strongest preference in dichotomy is always N, followed by I.

Well, I'd still say there's likely a correlation, but definitely no direct relationship.

Actually, I'm not sure what to think about the dichotomies. I've always been more JCF girl. :D Even though when I think about it now, it's easy for me to see my type using dichotomies.

BUT. I believe that it might be because I'm F dom Ne user and stereotypical P... I feel like dichotomy N in tests is more Ne than Ni and because I'm dominant F I relate more F questions in general vs. T questions...

Would be interesting to hear what other types have to say about this.

It's hard for me to think only considering dichotomies, but probably it'd be like this:

P
N
F
E

t and p are both quite strong

the other two tend to be more ambiguous

I honestly don't know how I am supposed to do this. Am I allowed to just use dichotomies? Not sure how that even works but...

if we are thinking in terms of how each letter affects the whole...
INFP: INTP > ENFP > INFJ > ISFP

therefore....

N > P > I > F

but if we are thinking in terms of just each dichotomy by itself...

I > N > P > F

J. Though some might argue it's E.

Haha I see what you did there. You might have not been aware of it when writing it though.
