The Board of the Association for Psychological Type (APTi) is particularly excited about an upcoming issue of the Bulletin of Psychological Typewith the theme, How have your type preferences impacted your life?

No, they don't pay (I don't know of a journal/professional magazine that does) but you'd get a copy with your stuff in a nice format and can cite it on your resume.

They're hoping to include stories from as broad a base as possible, from as many countries, industries, age spans, and life experiences as we can. I personally will be writing about how I used my knowledge of type to avoid major dissatisfaction with how my birthday played out, for example.
Here are some starting points, if you need a little boost:

  • Aha! That’s why (Mom, Brother, Sister, Boss, or Whomever) is the way he or she is. Now that I know that, I …

  • I’m glad I know my type preferences now, but I wish I would have known it when (fill in) occurred …

  • Now that I know about type, I …

They're looking for submissions that are 100-500 words. Just go to Association for Psychological Type International and follow the directions.

Very cool! Thank you for sharing this!

Does anyone know the creative commons/copyright rules in case anyone would like to post theirs into the Strunk & White thread for critique before submitting it? Would that harm their chances in any way? I know the company I write for doesn't care, as long as I claim copyright until I give it to them.
