And I'd dislike very much being not respected and all (the first option)..

Empathic (NF)
Artistic (SP)
Ingenious (NT)
Dependable (SJ)

Benevolent (NF)
Beneficient (SJ) ?
Audacious (SP)
Autonomous (NT) ?

Authentic (NF)
Adaptable (SP)
Resolute (NT) ?
Respectable (SJ)

It would be worst if they
2) respond to you as a different personality type inauthenticating your self (e.g. treat you like a salesman, artist, office clerk, writer, professor, computer nerd, dope fiend, waiter, back door fornicator or whatever you feel contrary to your own image) (NF)

1) fail to treat you with respect, belittling your words etc. (NT)

3) accuse you of being rigid and not flexible, not adaptable (SP) ?

4) accuse using you of not sticking to your guns, being fickle (SJ) ?

For the last two, I had some trouble, because I think it would be worse not to be seen as adaptable than to be seen as fickle, but it is unlikely that I would be criticized for that. It is more likely that my adaptability would be mistaken for fickleness, and I would be "inauthenticated" as in the first question. Therefore, I wasn't sure which to label as more offensive to SPs and which as more offensive to SJs, and I ordered them according to which was actually a worse insult rather than by which was a more probable way that I would be invalidated.

I have listed my guesses for which temperament categories would respond that certain answers were most important or most disturbing, depending on the questions, and have sorted them according to my own preferences, which are not always consistent with the order in which I would choose to be a specific temperament. The question marks are where I was uncertain about whether a certain temperament would really choose a certian answer, but where I wanted to include all categories for each of the four possibilities.

I think.

For this next one, I kept them in the same order:

Are you worried most if they

1) fail to treat you with respect, belittling your words etc.

This one, for sure. Respect is a huge issue - if I feel embarrassed or belittled, it plays hell with everything I am. I can't be myself.

2) responding to you as a different personality type inauthenticating your self (e.g. treating you like a salesman, artist, office clerk, writer, professor, computer nerd, dope fiend, waiter, back door fornicator or whatever you feel contrary to your own image)

I'm not sure, but this one seems to me to be tied up a lot in #1 - if they see me as something contrary to my own image in a negative, dismissive way, then that is a really big issue. But if it's something that is neutral, or even positive, I don't really have a problem with people concieving me as someone other than myself. It's sort of a part of everyday life - sometimes I even like to play with changing how people percieve me.

3) accusing you of being rigid and not flexible, not adaptable

People do that already, sometimes. It doesn't bother me because I know that I'm only rigid and stubborn when there's good reason to be.

4) accusing using you of not sticking to your guns, being fickle

Well, I know that I am fickle, so again, not an issue.

I should have replied to this thread before.

The answer can be found at:

Perseus System

The categories are my own invention.
