Perseus Personality Tests: Number Four

What building or designing something (e.g. a web site), do you follow the rules or do what works?

Do you prefer to talk about ideas (fantasy, psychology, theory, ecology) or about facts (weather, mending the broken car, getting spare parts, what butterfly is that?) ?

I'd follow the rules in terms of the end result (reasonable W3C standards compliance, meeting the expectations set out for the design to meet), but I would just do what worked in terms of process. I'd use what ever worked best for me in order to get that result, wouldn't hold myself to following any particular method along the way.

I prefer to talk about ideas, but I'm comfortable with facts as well, especially when I can't think of anything else to talk about, or they're relevant to the subject.

I generally start out following the rules, but this is mostly just give me an idea of how something works. Even if it works, I like to experiement and make modification or do something completely different.

I prefer to talk about ideas. Sometimes I will through facts in to support my ideas and because many people don't understand me when I am too abstract.

The rules for the web pages are not followed. I detest the idea of the syncronisation of the html as it has caused problems with my unconventional methods.

Talking theories is fun. The other is just to gather information and compare experiences for practical reasons, although harmony can also be created.
