No, I don't find them overstimulating. I like it that they do the talking. I should say that I have little trouble in mentally pulling the plug out and dozing off to my own world, nodding and "uhum"-ing at random. Most extraverts don't notice and thank me for the good talk afterwards.
It's not impoliteness, it is selfdefence... ;)

It depends on the individual... if we have common interests and I don't find them overbearing. Then no, typically they're not overstimulating... regardless of whether I just met them or not.

So an issue with the person, not time.

One on one, not really. It may be a little uncomfortable, and I won't talk unless addressed, but I do ok, but if they're "me"me"me"me"me", I imagine I'd get bored/annoyed and try to go away or retreat into my mind. In a crowd I'll remove myself from it..
