When I did the MBTI first - maybe 20 years ago I used to be an ENTP
Today I did an MBTI test online and today I am an ENTJ

ENTP at 25 years of age
ENTJ at 45 years of age

is this normal?

Anyway, J/P is pretty worthless in terms of static type, so it's particularly subject to showing up as changed as you get older.

If it's sort of a development, then you are probably just a more balanced ENTP. If it's a shift to something that seems more fitting of who you actually are, then you might have been ENTJ to start. It can be more complicated than that but that might be okay to start.

It's not uncommon for test results to change but according to type theory, your actual type does not change. Perhaps you're an ENTP who has learned to be more J like due to work environment? Also you do become better able to use your nonpreferred functions as you get older. It doesn't make you an ENTJ, rather an ENTP with increased access to J.

If you're not sure if ENTP or ENTJ fits better, try reading up on cognitive functions. Both are NTs but they use intuition and thinking quite differently. ENTP is dominant Ne, auxiliary Ti. ENTJ is dominant Te, auxiliary Ni.
