Schism is definitely the best song for INTx types. Jesus, that song is the quintessence of those of us rationals that aren't 100% mentally healthy, which is like none of us lol.

Love songs by Boston, and Sting have always been easy for me to relate to, as well, due to my overdeveloped and/or maladaptive Fe.

No matter what by Papa Roach. Really romantic, even too much.

I like Elliot Smith's cover of Thirteen for Infp.

Sweet and youthful with a bit of "us against the world" mentality. All while trying earnestly not to be pushy.

sometimes when it starts playing, and i
catch myself humming along to it. i'll get
embarassed, even if i'm alone in the room.
and i'll just squirm until i i get up and out of
my seat. then i laugh about it. i like it a lot.

Best love song for INTJs

Nothing Else matters

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trust in who we are
And nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

I never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know (yeah!)

So close no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trust in who we are
No nothing else matters

So, I want to ask you to post the song you feel best fits your personality in relation to falling in love. I mean more so what attracts you, not what you would use to attract someone else, and if you like, why?
...
Also, it's open to guesses at what would attract a certain type. Emphasis on infj would be cool, but not necessary.

I can only speak for me, not the type. Music and love are all unique and personal. I don't really know that I use music "to attract" - sounds like some kind of hunters tactic, using bird calls to make an imitation of something natural. I've just never had that love hunting instinct, I guess.

But I can share some songs that speak to me and my feelings about and experiences with love. A close interpretation of my idealistic vision comes across in this song:
Years falling like grains of sand mean nothing to me. It's only time. If snow won't change your mind, let it fall. The snow won't change my heart, not at all. I'll walk your lands and swim your seas. Marry me, and in your hands I will be free. Marry me. Why would I stop loving you a hundred years from now?

Love lasting throughout time. Through time and space the bind becomes freedom. I love that, I want that inside of myself and outside of myself to exist.

It's cracked but, paradoxically (or correspondingly depending on your view) the following song expresses the roller coaster my heart tends to ride. I am never scared to go on it, I enjoy it, am thrilled by it. But it ends. And I disembark. Thats how amusement park rides work.
as much as I definitely enjoy solitude, I wouldn't mind, perhaps, spending little time with you. sometimes, sometimes. possibly maybe probably love. uncertainty excites me, baby! who knows what's going to happen? lottery or car crash - or you'll join a cult?! It came about through happenstance that I happened to be hap-happy. you’re just a bonus to that. mon petit vulcan, your eruptions and disasters. I keep calm, admiring your lava, I keep calm. electric shocks - I love them! with you, a dozen a day. but after a while I wonder: where's that love you promised me? where is it?

I can hope for balance. I can hope for an alignment in my own self that allows for love to find me (which it does, as I tend toward being passive, not the hunter type remember) yet also for me to be active in growing that love. It's not hunting, its cultivation of natural extension in a fecund space. As the humification of my heart goes on, I hold out hope.

one hand loves the other so much on me. born stubborn, me - will always be. before you count 123, i will have grown my own private branch of this tree. you : gardener you : discipliner domestically i can obey all of your rules and still be : be. i never thought i would compromise. let's unite tonight, we shouldn't fight, embrace you tight, let's unite tonight. i thrive best hermit style with a beard and a pipe and a parrot on each side, but now i can't do this without you. u.n.i.s.o.n.

Not sure if these are directly related to INFJness, but they would apply well to being a 4w5, and how I usually feel with love.

This song is pretty much my theme song for most of the relationships I've been in, especially when I miss the person I love, or am too shy to make the first move. It's like I sit there and yearn and dream about being with them.

This song applies for when I end up first falling for someone. At first I tend not to notice my feelings for them until BAM, it hits... and when I fall for someone, I fall hard. It's almost like being with the person takes me to heaven, much like the keyboard solo in this piece shows. It's like the one I love becomes the center of my universe.

This song describes the kind of love I long for... the kind of last forever, even in times of trouble my love will always be the one that I build my world upon. A deep connection with someone, meaningful, where I can share my deepest thoughts with, and its our own special world. It's all about commitment, passion, intimacy... sharing a bond with someone at a spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical level.

The Way I Am - Ingrid Michaelson

For ISFP, I really like this song. I want somebody that will accept the unorganized, sensitive, weird person the 'way I am' :)

Snowed In At Wheeler Street by Kate Bush

Excuse me I'm sorry to bother you,
But don't I know you?
There's just something about you.
Haven't we met before?

We've been in love forever.

When we got on top of the hill,
We saw Rome burning.
I just let you walk away.
I've never forgiven myself.

I saw you on the steps in Paris.
You were with someone else.
Couldn't you see that should have been me.
I just walked on by.

Then we met in '42,
But we were on different sides.
I hid you under my bed,
But they took you away.

I loved you with a London smark,
As you crossed the lane.
And I'd never know where you'd gonna be next
But I'd know that you'd surprise me.

Come with me, I'll find some rope
I'll tie us together.
I've been waiting for you so long…
I don't want to lose you again…

I don't want to walk into the crowd again.
I don't want to walk away again.

I don't want to lose you!
I don't want to lose you!
I don't want to lose you again!

There's just something… about you…
Have we been in love forever?

And I'd been living in New York.
I took your photograph.
I still have your smiling face in a heart-shaped frame.

Snowed in at Wheeler street.
Just two old friends.
Keeping the fire going.
We looked so good together.

Can't we just stay there forever?
We were so happy!
I'd live that day over and over.
But the world won't stop turning.

When we got to the top of the hill,
We saw Rome burning.
I don't want to lose you…
I don't want lose you again!

Don't walk away again.
Don't leave me unloved again.

Don't want to lose you…
I don't want to lose you!
I don't want to lose you again!!

Oh no not again. No! No! Not again!
Not again! Not again!
No! No! No! No! Not again!
Not again!
Never again!
and...

My opinions on the perfect love songs for some of the types:

This song, "The Power Of Love" by Gabrielle Aplin, projects a haunting, mystical vibe that seems to correspond well with INFJs, whom repeatedly seem to view love as a means of finding a soul mate and achieving that surreal state where your soul nearly seems to intertwine spiritually with young significant others:

I instantaneously feel in love with the sweet etherealness of this song, "We Are In Love" by Cider Sky, which albeit unusual, has a soft, dreamy feel that reminds me perhaps of the INFP once they've achieved their romantic ideal and has locked themselves within that smitten state with their S.O., a feeling that empowers them and makes them feel as if nothing can break them once they and their loved one are together:

Ingrid Michaelson's "The Way I Am" has a concise and straightforward message, but projects that soft, simplistic vibe that I feel would be evident in ISFPs, who prefer to express their love for their S.O. through actions rather than elaborate, abstract words.

As arguably the hardcore romantics of the among the types, this song, "All the Way 4 U" by Poets of the Fall projects the ENFJs tendency to give their all in their relationships and invest themselves wholly in the person they are in love with:

I can't speak for all of my fellow ENFPs but I think this song says a lot without saying anything at all. :wubbie:

Heres one for us introverts :D

You came in from the cold and asked me to dance - I knew,
That my lucky stars were hoping I'd say "I do."
So there you stood and something told me that I should.
So there you stood and something told me that I should.

But the look in your eyes was a bit too bright - I said "no."
Maybe the melting snow on your deep black hair made me go?
So there you stood and something made me walk away.
So there you stood and something made me walk away.

Was the dj so bad that I went nearly mad? - I don't know.
He should have played something old, something melancholy and slow.
So there you stood and something made me walk away.
Away I went yet something told me to stay.

It would've been a beautiful day to heed your call.
It would've been a wonderful scene to watch the snow fall.

Then the summer came, we met on the street - too soon.
You seized my hand and asked if I didn't like you.
So there you stood and something told me that I should.
So there you stood and something told me that I should.

But my laundry was due and the heat wave was intense too.
So I went kinda speechless and absent-minded 'bout you.
So there you stood and something made me walk away.
Away I went yet something told me to stay.

It would've been like a love song to walk hand in hand.
It would've been a carpe diem to carve hearts in the sand.

So now I dance on my own and wander about - so blue.
I keep passing my days by hoping that I'd see you.
So I could wait if something made me walk away.
So I could wait if something told me I should stay.
