Since the manifestation of Te is basically shorthand for the manifestation of some kinds of executive functiioning skills (planning, forethought, staying mentally organized, articulate communication, self-discipline, strategy, etc), it'd be safe to assume that all dom/aux Te users have strong executive function by nature. No need to learn it or train themselves, as their frontal lobes simply are naturally strong.

Note that while Te ==> Exec. Function, it's not necessarily vice versa. ISFPs can have strong Exec Function as well, as can any type.

But if you have poor executive functioning, then Te as dom/aux is totally out the question.

Thoughts?

Yes, it's a good hypothesis.

The functions aren't abilities, so equating Te with being able to planning, organising and so forth is misleading. Te is about prioritising according to what is felt to be of practical importance and then acting upon it. It is the desire, rather than the ability. A diligent but ultimately incompetant leader could still be a TJ. Similarly, an IFP could have all the skills to sort out a given problem with the supply and demand of smaked haddock, but desire to get invovled at all.

This, tho I dont know what a smaked haddock is, but it sounds cool :D

In the beginning of this forum we often had people allocating functions or the personality types with more platitudic relations. Like for example nearly everyones boss became estj over night or every nurse was labeled infp. This's an interpretation far away from reality and normally does reflect the wielders life experience, cause if you'd really know people, you'd see that all sorts of different personality types and colors make out the real world. Hollywood doesnt work in the real world.

But it's right that some things are more likely to stem from certain functions. For example is it more like to have a primary Te guy being a good planner or a primary Ne guy being very curious. Its just not necessary that it needs to happen. It largely depends on your environment.

The american type profiles for example value different things than the german would. The type "inventor" for entp, who is compared to great scientists like Richard Feynman would intrest noone here. Over here the inventor type would be portrayed as a practical tinkerer, who doesnt have a university degree but is an excellent craftsman. Craftmansship would tho in the american mbti types lay more with sp types, who shall impersonify this practical talent.

Another example is the fieldmarshall entj or the lieterate infp. The entj would be more seen as an enfj or estp in germany, someone with huge empathy and people skills, who is a doer and who manages to run a team or corporation. The infp wouldnt be considered for a literate streak, he'd be more settled in the field of medicine or psychology, so another kinda practical application as well.

Literate types in Germany would all be SJs. who have become over the years of book reading walking encyclopedias and who let everybody know that :).

If you want to understand people really, you always have to look at them a bit detached from the present societal ideology, but a bit of the ideology you still can use in your analysis cause nobody is really free of that ( except he is a hermit or an entp :) )
