I would say that Americans have the most MBTI expertise, as the system was developed and used here primarily.

Russians have the most Socionics expertise, though.

Yeah, from what I can tell, MBTI is barely mentioned, but they take Socionics more seriously than the west takes MBTI seriously. I've run across Russian dating sites based on Socionics, along with College programs (all the way up to Phd). I don't think there's a university that awards degrees in MBTI, is there?

USA I guess. Not really common here, though I was at some MBTI workshop at my university once.

where i am in the us, most people my age who have gone to college have heard of it, but few understand the system of four letters, much less 8 functions. a fair amount of my friends know their type to some extent (i did have one friend type herself IMFP - though i suspect she is actually ISFP). even most people i know who have gotten psychology degrees are not well-acquainted, beyond taking tests that don't describe extraversion well.

i have met 3 people who i know are very well-acquainted with the system - 2 asked if i was ENFP within minutes

i have only met one person(besides my personality psychology teacher and even he didnt seem to have much knowledge about it) who heard about MBTI in finland.

Psuedo Psychology

Here in germany, exactly NOBODY knows anything at all about MBTI(at least from the people I know). In fact, we haven't even learned anything about psychology at school.

MBTI is not psychology, it is pseudo psychology.

And just as we have science and pseudo science, we have psychology and pseudo psychology.

MBTI is quite like astrology. But no one, I hope, mistakes astrology for astronomy but we do mistake pseudo psychology for psychology.
