What thoughts do you have on the ethics of using MBTI and the Enneagram?

We use this stuff to try and understand people and yet, it seems that it can so easily be abused.

ethics definition

The branch of philosophy that deals with morality. Ethics is concerned with distinguishing between good and evil in the world, between right and wrong human actions, and between virtuous and nonvirtuous characteristics of people.

Like anything else, it can be abused or used as a tool.

If you are using MBTI or Enneagram to promote your own superiority or anyones superiority, how is it any different than the abuse of Darwin?

At the same time, it can be helpful in understanding some base conflicts between others.

Considering people change their type daily, weekly, or monthly it's become mere entertainment.

Agreed. It can also be used too rigidly - I find myself trying to fit a type, and trying to fit others in a type, which can be detrimental to ourselves and others and our relationships. We are inconsistent and contradictory.
